First off I had my"shit together"but finding a venue in this town for a tournament doesnt come easy hence why saskatoon’s scene has been underdeveloped for so many years. Secondly I would have been comfortable regardless if your present or not, im completely indifferent to you so feel free to participate whenever you want. Im glad to hear charles and his buddy had a great and like I said before, I appreciated the invitation but things came up and I got busy. If I could have made it I would have come but Sat didnt work well for me which is why I was wanting a friday event initially. At any rate charles and his friend had a good time and got to see the scene and in the end of the day that was the whole point.
As for the scene, well yeah its true I have not been active in it for quite sometime but in recent months I’ve tried my best to creater a larger community. Its a 1 man effort right now with no help and im crunched for time enough as it is. Hopefully the PC release of SF4:AE can help with securing a venue at the cove but its far from a promise.
Untill then Ill be sure to have fun playing with myself, its like the best time of my day after all:wgrin:
I won that set jamie, how you got the 10-9 score is beyond me considering I won the last game before you left lol. Anyhow resume believing your like Godly compared to me james, I wont try to stop you:tup:
Oh Saskatchewan thread, how you keep me entertained during the downtimes at work. Now if only I could post that Michael Jackson eating popcorn GIF via tapatalk.
If only the Ruckers didn’t close down there. I would be making weekend trips just to play on the cabinet. Its what got me into fighting games Andrews collection ruled
Also, I noticed that you are talking about Saskatchewans commmunity. I think I’ll recruit a bunch of people into the community so we can have some lax tournaments and some good times. Then I will go try going out and find a good venue in Saskatoon where everything is groovy. Lets actually try to put one together instead of listening to Evo bash the small one that SK has. If he “doesn’t want to deal” with us, then he doesn’t have to come, and we might be able to learn how to really play
I shall become more active around here until we have a real, happy, chill community. Maybe we won’t be the best but at least we will be having fun, and won’t have to listen to people complain anymore
Yo I heard Jozhear beat Evo in a set one handed while using the other to text “This guy is free”.
I remember that name Burzy too. He should rep Sask at MAT this year. I’m sure he’d do a lot better than who ever this scrub is.

Merlin. It was never a king of Sask match, just a random 1 match mm. Although if you wanna give it a title and think it means anything I could easily prove what a joke it is:)
Kman. You’ve never been in the community so you have no clue about any of my criticisms of this scene. Do what you want but you won’t get anywhere with how the scene currently is.
nah I don’t do troll accounts and am tired of trollin Rik for the time being… its just too easy. TrollThisSRK is straight beastin right now though
Yes. A win is a win is a win. Joz has beat you every time it counts. You are not as good as Joz, or Air, or any of eastern Canada’s top players. Who cares anyway… aside from four, maybe five exceptions everyone in Canada sucks at SF anyways.
Interesting claim. What are you trying to accomplish with this point here? Are you saying that you are a fighting game prodigy?
In the grand scheme of things: your most notable skill is not your ability to play a top tier character to 20% of his potential and random out wins you do not deserve, but instead your ability to make enemies and start shitstorms everywhere you go.
Cody you pick Abel and play with Jamie everyday yet you have never been able to do well in any tournaments you showed up to. I started maining fei back in sf2 where he was literally bottom tier and narrowly lost too diagos ryu. In other words doesn’t matter who I use cause the results are still the same. What’s your excuse for being terrible at the game…your only known as a rage quit moron who’s greatest feat is being jamies brother.
cody doesn’t play with me everyday. Not even REMOTELY close, I think even before Marvel (considering he wasn’t even living with me) we played like twice a month. I haven’t played SF4 with cody since March, easily.
edit: Yeah lolurfree I can confirm that. i was texting… on a TYPEWRITER
Also ric STFU Nobody was around playing for serious when fei was bottom tier that was like fifteen fuckin yeasr ago i played vega when he was bottom tier in sf4, the game we’ve actually been playing for two years now do you see me going around getting all ;____; i’m a true warrior?
I never played a fighting game in my life before SF4 came out… I only know one very uncommon matchup in depth. My tournament results are pretty damn good all things considered. did you ever see my winner’s semi match against Air at CC? Terrible players can’t do that. Terrible players can’t win with Abel, period, unlike Fei Long.
I’m not “known” outside of our city & province threads. Neither are you.
edit: oh yeah I forgot about the Magic of Jozhear. you are probably most famous for that, I think.
evo asked his friends from alberta to come to saskatoon. his AB friends offered to pay up to 300$ for the venue. All evo had to do was to find a venue, he failed.
someone else offered a venue, AB friends were happy. but evo doesnt even show up to that tourney to hang out with his AB friends after making them come over from another province? That’s pretty rude.
evo may be a good player but he’s not a trustworthy friend.
Hey! This sounds great. We /sorta/ have what you’re talking about, but we kinda slow down in the summer. At the most we have like 12-14 players but we would probably have 6-8 players who would come regularly if we had something organised. We use our place as a venue normally and it works fine, but it would be cooler if we had something like what Calgary does, no doubt. No one here really is interested in paying to play, and no one here is interested it seems in playing at HiTech or on PC’s. Dustin, Nate, and I played at a tourney in Edmonton once run on PC’s and it kinda sucked. Problems with crashing, controller changes, etc. People here normally don’t mind putting down like $5 for a small tourney but it might be hard to get more out of most of them. Anyways, when we are organised and playing regularly, everyone has fun. During school this year I got pretty busy, and because this isn’t really a main hobby of mine I kinda let it go.
If you want more information about how to get in contact with the people who play in Saskatoon, send me a PM. I can hook you up with everybody who plays both reliably and also at random just for fun.
I like your style Sounds good and looking forward to. I know Dustin would be pumped about someone putting some work in, as well.
