Yes Rik is a talented player, and I’ll give him credit considering how shitty his scene is. Though I blame his own shitty and condescending attitude for holding his scene back. He is like a cancer and Sask will never produce a top player with him around.
He is no where near top player status, or even top Canadian player status. His ego is a little too high for someone who hasn’t accomplished anything. And no, top 8 at Marvel Madness doesn’t mean shit. I bet if he came to Montreal or to the GTA he’d get bodied hard. Wouldn’t get top 16 for sure in our local tourneys. If he wants to prove himself he should come to MAT this year.

Any kind of ‘scene’ in sask has very little chance as is, but a douchebag of this magnitude trying to come off as the king of sask will completely squash any hope at all.
I was actually considering coming to/asking for an invitation to fight nights. This guy is so bad I can’t see myself risking going to a building if theres any chance he’ll be there.
I am confident that any new, upcoming talent wanting to get into the scene will be immediately put off by ‘evo’, and the scene will never grow.
He fills the threads with drama, BS, and treats the matchmaking thread like his own personal journal because he’s clearly socially retarded. Its a matchmaking thread. We don’t care about how your day was.
Again, its not my top priority, but I think its sad that someone like this is allowed to keep the scene down singlehandedly. If you care about fighting games in sask, start PMing mods asap. The stuff he posts/posted in the other thread is more than enough to justify a ban.

Foger out of everyone in sask and ab or Canada I put in the least amount of time in this game. I can promise that out of all the players here, everyone puts in 10 times the amount of time and effort. The difference being that they don’t know how to spend the time properly.

Hey we tried to get a tournament together here recently because your friends from out of town wanted to play and you couldn’t get your shit together and find a venue. We even held it on the day you chose, so you could come. You said you’d come, and bring MK, and you didn’t show. It’s ok, we expected that. I didn’t participate so that you could be more comfortable here. It’s ok though. I hear your friends were nice guys and the people who did show up had an alright time. That’s what it’s all about.
Anyways, you talk a lot about the “scene” here, but you haven’t played in it in over a year. You say you play less than anyone, but you have no idea. Have fun playing with yourself, you’ll probably be at it for a long time
