honestly ric you’re lookin mad jokes right now, possibly more than ever
what makes a game a partygame is it’s basic nature with as few complexities as possible
if you take all the advanced system mechanics out of a game, it becomes a party game
I don’t even like mvc3, but you just went full retard
SF4 and HDR are so much closer to being a party game than MvC3, its unbelievable.
You wouldn’t have to change much to make SF4 or HDR a party game like smash bros.
MvC3 on the other hand is a far more developed game, in every imaginable way.
if mvc3 is a party game, your games have been party games since forever
Maybe you just want to tell us that you only like simple games, because those are the only ones that you can play?
How would HDR be more of a party game lol, even with SF4 you can’t just mash out long combos to supers. I somehow how doubt a game with the strict execution of HDR and to a lesser degree SF4 would be even close to a party game. I didnt say MVC3 doesnt have its own complexity but that it can be enjoyed on a more basic level then the other 2 games I mentioned.
Uhh I agree with Ric on this. Mvc3 is way more party friendly then ssf4 or hdr. Mvc3 was designed that way so everyone can play it. Also mvc3 has alot of recognizable characters from not only capcom but marvel. You can mash in those other games but your not gonna get the same type of results that your gonna get in mvc3. Having said that, mvc3 is also does have a lot of depth to it as well with the assists, air combos, and x-factor and because of those things mvc3 is tournament worthy.
So I’m just wondering when Ric is going to play against one of us to prove how easy it is to win in this game by mashing. This has been going on for a good 4 pages and I’m not convinced that he actually attended any party other than a lemonparty, or even put anymore time into this game.
Why would being able to mash out long combos into supers be the mark of a party game?
Can you name any existent and commonly agreed upon party games that share this trait?
Did you read my post at all? You’re asking a question which is answered in my post.
What makes HDR more like a party game?
It’s simplicity.
Darc you know what i ment. i was comparing how GG can be called Flashy with pretty colours i said hdr and sf4 was easy to get into i thought i put a period between those, i never said it was easy to get into because thats the exact opposite the game is crushingly hard to get into.
So ya GG fucking awsome and super hard to get into. Thats what i ment.
wonder when the new GG is ever gonna be announced…
Also that sucks why dont you like MVC3 darc? i thought u were gonna take everyones cash, i need to rematch you somhow since you quit BB.
Also i agree I wanna see ric beet somone by mashing in mvc3.
I couldn’t hear your response over the sound of smoke being blown into my face
I don’t like mvc3 because there are too many dumb things in it, and the combo system or damage isn’t one of them
we’re talkin normals with full length superarmor, command normals with near instant startup having gigantic dominant hitboxes and tiny hittable boxes, projectile assists letting people zone everything for free, wesker mysteriously missing otg targets with his gun or not coming in when input, pushblock letting people zone for free, assists being unpunishable on reaction outside the dumbest of circumstances, setups grabbin people for free when they come in after a death (I’m lookin at you, super trull), xfactor automatically negating the entire game that happened until x-factor was activated, etc
nothing a handful of tuneups couldn’t fix, but this is capcom we’re talkin about and those tuneups aint comin
I talked shit about taking everybody’s money but the game came out and I’m not enjoying grinding it, so that obviously isn’t going to come to fruition
We can play online, you’ll win easily like I said so it isn’t like you would be proving a point or something but if you want games then just send me a invite.
Also realistically, I don’t think any of us are attending parties where dime piece broads are arguing over whether or not they should play MVC3 or HDR or SF4. So I think this whole “party game” discussion is pretty irrelevant. This ain’t Mario Party.
Richard is just THAT shocked that he was playing a video game with some friends and actually enjoying himself. Possibly enough so that he referred to it as a party.
When you goto EVO you can have a top player party in your mouth; everyone’s cumming.
I just really wanna see Ric respond to all this stuff proving him wrong. More importantly how Darc did give reasons as to how MVC3 is not a party game and how hdr is closer to it.
@Darc. Yes play you in a game that i dont have a stick to practice for that i havent really played in a while against somone very well versed. Someday if i get a good ps2 stick and some people i can practice with and get back into GG i’ll have to stick with BB and other fighters. Plusa theres always hope of a new gg but then again, will they just change it drasticly like bb? who knows.
Back to this ric argument, am liking how this thread is getting more populated with others instead of just Ric.
HDR being a party game is a joke, all mashing will do is frequent normals and lot of frantic jumping around…it doesnt the flash or instant appeal of MVC3.
Merlin: Ya know this MVC3 talk is kind of pointless, we all know the game will be dropped in a few weeks anyways.
