Saskatchewan Players The Time Is Now!

You weren’t being bashed in Rik’s last post. He simply stated the facts, that you troll him on these forums. Anybody can look at your posting history and see that what he said is true.

And that’s great, but it isn’t a thriving community.

whatevs

We have pms for a reason so let’s move along. Anyways I fought mike Ross and he won 20-9 against me. It was a damn good fight and ill have the matches uploaded on youtube soon!

20-9 vs mike ross eh
add me!

Yeah np mate it was a very tense set, Ill admit my honda experience is very limited but after today I know how to fight honda ha. He was kicking my ass badly for the first 11 games untill I finally adapted and made it more even. The last match was so close it could have gone either way but I got nervous and fell for a damn ochio set-up lol.

Shane: Agreed and the main point I was trying to get at was this. I know a lot of players that are currently active are casual and Im realistic in my expectations of them. However I know them well enough to know that if a"scene"was avaible they would come out in a heartbeat and do what the could to help in its growth. I also know that the city has a lot more players to offer then what is presently known so the possibility of a large thriving community is always possible. Our only true hindrance at the momment is a securing a venue that can accommodate such a community.Once a venue is secured everything else will fall into place rather easily.

I have not gotten a friendo invite
aren’t you a viper player? were you at alberta beatdown?

No, he plays Fei-Long.

Sorry man I just sent it now, I was at a edmonton tourny this year but I dont think it was alberta beatdown. My main is fei…well he is actually he only one I ever use ha.

cool. i need practice in that matchup, its a bad one for Abel and I’ve only ever played one Fei who really knew what he was doing and our connection sucked.

My connection usually becomes a bit wonky towards at night cause my family does some streaming so hopefully it holds through, ill see ya only soon.

As I promised here is my set against Justin Wong that I fought a week ago. We played a total of 13 games and the set ended 9-4 in his favor, he used Fei-Long for the first 2 matches and then his main for the remainder of the set. I learned a lot from this set and now reconize my faults a player through watching this again. I’ll have my set against Mike Ross up within the next couple of days, I currently am scheduled to face off against Justin one more time and Gootecks sometime in the upcoming weeks so stay tuned!

Well even though a scene might never happen I suppose I could still arrange some gatherings from time to time. I sort of want to do what Regina is doing in that sense so Im thinking of using the education building for this. While im not the biggest fan of using that building as a venue Its the only option left at this point, as it stands there is nothing going on in town right now so its better to have something then nothing. On that note I suppose the few advantages the building does have is that its public and large(certainly not a shoebox). If anyone is interested in showing up just let me know, I hope something better comes along in the near future.

Anyways who from sask is coming to the Canada Cup, I know merlin and dalton are showing up but who else from sask is coming?

Was this part of the pay for lessons with Jwong?

Yeah, accept I paid for a set instead ha.

Sounds like you are training hard!

Honestly I rather pay $$ to train with top usa players then pay for a training session in Canada. How did you get into training with them? I guess I can ask lol.

I sent a msg to Mike Ross bout playing him and never heard back.
I need to play top guys like ASAP. so +1 how you lined that up Evo

I think that they should set up a website like Level up with Socal champs and the site would have top player from every character. $25 a session 1st to 10 and then email stuff on how they can improve their game.

I have a friend who had Wong on his Facebook so I was able to get in like that plus money can make any door open lol. I’m making a ton of cash these days so its not a issue to pay these guys. This is the only training I can do since there are no local players or competition. I’m personally looking forward to my second set against Wong and ill be figjhting gootecks soon.

There is a site that has top players that you can pay to play. I forgot the name of it but I think they are affiliated with iplaywinner

These guys are tough to get a hold of, a lot of it is just luck and in my case I just happen to catch them at a good time. Im doing my best to train up for this tournament as I will be the sole saskatoon representative so I gotta rep hard lol.

Edit: Alright so I was just thinking about the top players from each province and the odds are starting to get the better of me now lol. Basically if we nail it down to the best guys that im aware of from each province this is how it looks:

BC: Air
Zenside
Mar

AB: sakeido <#1
Jamie
Hai
Greg
Jinrai < Seth got bitched
Vesper
TMJ <Rog is not real
Bee
Phill
JJ
lap < LOWEST RANK!

Man: Mike < Cammy needs nerfing
Shane
Dudley Is Korean
Graeme
Jericho

Sask: Rick
Norman
Merlin
Dustin
Dave
Dalton < Evo champ

Now from what I know, 4 out of the 6 guys from that list won’t be going which means the representation of Sask will be quite limited. I hope I can place high at this tournament but the competition is very tough, I hope my training will pay off.
