i don’t see the problem with switching it to 25c.
he could always just switch it back to 50c down the line if its dramatically affecting his business.
if you owned a business, then you would know that selling wholesale or for cheaper prices would boost the amount of customers. Something all NEW-BUSINESSES should take advantage of. You need customers first.
the community is looking for a place to play "long-term"
as opposed to making money off of us on the “short-term”
think about it. you bring 5 bucks to play, at 50c a game youll burn that in an hour or less. and then youll feel shitty because its only been an hour!
and after feeling shitty like that who would really want to go again?
but then think about this:
you bring that same 5 bucks to play, at 25c a game youll be playing for 2 hours or more. and you wouldn’t have to feel shitty about it because you got to play more and got the satisfaction you wanted from going to the arcade.
the main point im trying to bring across is the SATISFACTION customers get from coming here. apparently now, no one is satisfied because we all want to play more.
Everyone says hes doing this in favor of us, but in reality these are the essential things us customers or players look for when going to an arcade. People say they would rather go to nickel regardless of the sticks because of the satisfaction they get.
Come on, you don’t go to the arcade to spend 5, 10 or 20 dollars.
You come to the arcade to burn time, 1,2 or 5 hours doing something you like.
everyone feels the pain of the 50c. a price like this is just ruining the potential reputation for a nice place like this. everyone saying its a rip off because theyre paying the same admission to nickel, but paying 2x more to play.
People are not being cheap, it’s just not as satisfying paying so much for the time you play.

When we leave MC, we grab a bite to eat then head o Nickle after, sticks are working fine an whatnot, sucks thats its 50 cents, but I think for the most part we (CC) usually end up going where the comp is in sd, regardless if its Nickle, Mudd, or Chula, but Plaza sticks haven’t been working properly in awhile from what Ive been told.
As fr as the tournies go, I was hopin a quickie would have gone down this past Friday, but hopefully something happenes this week. I prefer Fridays, but thats me, oh and since we’ve never tried a team format, we should give it a shot an see how it goes.
im with fern on this … check it out … what if we just ask him to put it to 25c on fri’s when we go … once he finds out how much money he will make … and how many more ppl will be there im pretty sure he would change it for good … i mean i like the place … it something new … and really im not there for serious gameplay im there cause thats where SD is going right now its cool to kick it with you guys … and have our laughs … but maybe we all can talk to the owner and have him put it down to 25c on just fri… when we have our tourny’s … that wat we both win … prices we can afford … and for him more ppl there to play since it WILL be the only place inside of SD that has marvel for under 25c … besides nickle of course

I dont know if the owner does, but i know someone does that works at mudd, thats for sure, i asked the guy at the counter and knew the guys screen name and i talked to him about the post he made, wanting to throw a PRE evo tourny at mudd.
He knows one cabinet is not enough and it willing to use the V.I.P rooms to set up dreamcast consoles and use the arcade cabinet as well to make it one smoothly, hes looking for a huge turnout if i recall, around 70 people if possible? Price and date i dont believe have been set, but hes willing to make it huge if the people come to play. Lets talk to him more about it and see if we can get this going.

I was looking forward to a tourny at mudd club last friday also, hopefuly theres one this friday at nickle or mudd club I dont realy care where just have one, team or single it doesnt matter, lets make it happen. I believe that its not right that theyre charging 50 cents. I know what theyre going through though. They need to because they went balls out and bought us those machines and they want to atleast break even. That asian dude fixed the sticks for us, which is cool even though its still not perfect. Its playable though. Cvs2 is terrible, cant fit 2 dudes on the thing, but hell, he tried. Marvel is good. They need more stools too. At this point nickel would be a better choice because its a lot cheaper, you get more games, shittier sticks, which are i gues… playable. More room, and more stools. Personally i like the environment better at nickel, mudd is too depressing for me. Its a nice place, but yeah, place is too expensive and the owner needs to understand the gamers more. 50c is just way too expensive.
