Entry fee would be $4.00 or 3.00
on 06/19/04… these arent official rules but the date will be set
double elimination, pay to play only 2 tokens. best of 3 until finals then 3 of 5, NO 4 OF 7.
i might also have a MvC2 tourney and it would be put on the apex system on this site and same prizes!!
ALL chars. are allowed none of this no cable bs. but it has to be atleast 12 people for it to go on… this is a maybe. but kof2k3 is official time would be maybe 8pm or 7 30 pm
the tournies they host are gay at SW. its just for the SW players only obviously. Chars shouldnt matter in any tourney no matter how cheap they are even though half of them to me play cheap. EX: girls with 6 arms and DD. Do doctor dooms little rock assist and her stupid swords the whole damn match. freaking gay beyon the max…
Storm/Cyke or Sent/Cyke could take care of that team like nothing. And I wouldn’t really go so far as to say that any characters are cheap, it’s just that the gap between tiers are SO huge that there’s only a handful of characters you can play with competetively.
You can take some of the lower tiers and buttress them with badass assists though. If you know the engine well enough and know which assist counters which other assist and all that it makes it easier too. Spiral and Doom aren’t that much a threat all said though. You can’t win by chip damage at MVC2 anymore.

My friends who I stay with live right by San Pedro diversions so it would be cool if we could play there, but I’m not sure if you all like San Pedro so…

All this talk from 2 weeks ago about tournaments is getting me frisky. It would be interesting to see what all the MvC2 players have been up to lately. Last player I saw was Chong over at Culebra. I tripped out when I heard about the Southside people banning Cable, Sentinel, etc. The cheapest team in the world is Cable/Sent/Capcom. :lol: They should be banned from every tournament out there. I’d like to check out one of those Southside tourneys sometime. Seeing as how I’d lose 2 out of 3 characters of my tourney team I guess Strider/Doom would be my pick to attempt to clean house. Anyways, I found my copy of MvC2 and my DC while cleaning today. After dusting them both off I realized I didn’t feel like playing them anyway. If anyone is looking for a DC version of MvC2 it’s for sale for 30$. By the way it would be nice to get together over at Culebra sometime just to see what everyone’s been up to. In the meantime I’ll just poke around here once in awhile and see if anyone ever responds. I HAVE SPOKEN!

Surprisingly, no. However the dude who ran it initially had the rule of you can’t pick the same team over after each match. Everyone told him that was bullshit so there were no rules after that.

Lately i’ve notice that the culebra store is mostly for the KI and the KOF people. While that SW store is mostly for MvC2 people. And none of those guys post on here. I guess they don’t know or think they are just better than us or something. But it really doesnt matter since none of us ever play or want to get together. I would play more but I’m very rusty and my DC doesnt even work anymore and whenever I have time I can’t get a hold of DLJ or Tony(bad phone #). I would call up Mr. Deelite but I bet he’s got better things to do. Same with every other people who I know that plays this game. I thought the SA thread would die out but so far 4 pages so maybe some people still care. I just found out the guys who play KOF has their own thread in the other games forum and its going strong. They hold tournys around every month and the tournys over at SW is successful from what I hear but those guys never post(except DLJ). I like MvC2, 3rd strike, and Guilty Gear(i got into it by meeting a friend from houston) but playing the computer doesn’t help my game and no one ever plays. Maybe I’ll find another hobby.

I seem to be at the wrong Diversions though since all I play there is KOF and Chaos. With no comp, I guess I should take a field trip to Culebra. Do the best in SA Town really play there?
So far as I know, yeah. But next time I see you playing teach me some KOF. I was playing it out of boredem the other day and I kinda liked it. I’ll probably be around sometime this weekend.
I’m pretty much here most of the time already. The only job I could find was in SA so I’m here more than there. My lease is officially up in August though, so whatever.
Mmm, I think I posted about not caring about games anymore but there are still people it’d be fun to play with, you, Jimmy, Tony, Joe, Jason are cool to kick it with and play. I don’t care about getting better or whatever though and I don’t care about going to an arcade to play on shitty sticks against people who suck but think they have something to prove.
Looking for a job right now but that’s not going so well. I am essentially free 100% of the time and fill it up with FFXI and sleep. I play poker on the weekends but that’s about it.
Honestly I’ve had more fun screwing around on A3 with Jimmy lately than I ever think I did with MvC2 or 3S, neither of which is really SF. V-Charlie for life!
A3 is fun as hell, and yeah Tony and I still play as does DBZ guy. We’re down at Military Diversions on weekends mostly if you wanna check us out Eric you know where to find us. Oh yeah, did you get my # to call and let me know when you’re coming to the southside to play? If not then PM me and I’ll give it to you.
