Doom/Storm is a good counter for Spiral. And I don’t think anyone in SA has that great a Spiral really. Nothing that can’t be countered anyway.
yeah, no one really has a great spiral in SA, she only has certain shit too, DANCING SWORDS(shit is annoying) is like her greatest sheild/attack, but isn’t she like on the Semi-top tier or something?
good character but takes a while to master the timing of her teleport to evade attacks, Likes storms hail storm.
Actually the best counter for Spiral is a good Sentinel. If she teleports just toss out a HSF and she’s screwed.

Uh yeah, that’s why I said not in SA. I’ve played hardcore Spirals before and they’re a son of a bitch. They’re just not from SA.
yeah, Spiral can be a btich sometimes when it comes down to the point were you have on character left and she is the only character left, very scary, cause she can dodge a lot of attacks.
but in the other hand she is not all that great, good assist like cyclops can knock her on her ass. Right DLJ?

She’s like 4th or 5th best in the game. She’s just dropped a lot because the risk/reward factor is pretty high with her. Not to mention that Sent eats her up and EVERYONE uses Sent now. Oh well.
yeah, we all have trouble battling a good sentinel.
Now sentinel is a bitch to beat now, first characters i thought was hard to beat back then used to be Magneto(still a threat), second was doom cause of his damn stay in the air crap, third was spiral(damn dancing swords), fourth was storm, i still have trouble playing storm sometimes, but i’ll find a way around her. then most of all the damn killer, SENTINEL. but in all times in marvel history he will now reign supreme!!!
I have a hard time beating Blackheart. Because I like to be in the air a lot, and because his moves somewhat force you to remain grounded and almost in a corner, it gets hard for me to manage…
Sentinel’s a given. He and Cable do so much damage, especially when I have Chun-Li. It’s just a pain to manage around sometimes…
Storm isn’t as hard as I thought she would be. While she also does damage, I find that either Psylocke or Chun-Li can catch her and counter her runaway to an extent…
Magneto can be too fast, and when he starts zooming in and out, even my triple-jumping can’t elude him.

My personal kryptonite is by far a really good Cable to counter mine. Sentinel is one huge target for my Cable, and Storm and Magneto aren’t too bad if you have have a good panic button backing you up. Magneto is just a pain since he’s so fast and because he can do alot of damage with or without meters behind him. Tony will show that to anyone first hand. As for Spiral, just bring out Sentinel and if your opponent knows how to do the Spiral/Sent trap be careful. Doom isn’t too bad especially if you have a character with an air dash. Just follow him up and if he starts tossing pink stuff air dash in and let him have it. Most good Doom players these days don’t even toss pink stuff everywhere anymore unless they know it will land. Another flaw in Dooms pink stuff is speed dashing or whatever its called. Just run underneath him and super jump up there and give it to him from behind. :bgrin: I don’t really know any good Doom players here in SA but I know Dr. D has a pretty mean one. I’m starting to take up Spiral and if all goes as planned expect to see her while I’m busting through the SW Military ranks again. :encore: She might have to replace a team member if my old buddy gets banned after all. :wgrin:

I did terribly bad at the tourney at austin, i never played on arcade sticks for home systems before my damn sentinel could’nt fly fast and unfly fast, i pissed me off(:mad:), those dudes that played probably knew how to play in home systems and shit. that is the last time i am going to a console tourney. hope there are arcade(ARCADE!!!) tourneys in the future, if ya’ll know any, inform me.

Sorry to inform you, but if that is your attitude with tournaments, you are not going to have any more tournaments to play in. Stargate, the other place that holds regionals, is almost all-console now, and they’re not going to hold huge tournaments on their single MVC2 cabinet. The shift to console has been happening for a long time, and you can only make excuses for so long. The results were exactly the same as they would have been at any arcade Marvel tournament–Vinnyman, Hitler, Joe Reyna, power-dn, etc. at the top as usual. All of their Marvel experience has been pretty much exclusively on arcade cabinets at Stargate. It is way more likely that missing Fly/Unfly stuff was a result of your nervousness in the tournament. Put blame where blame is due, and if you want to keep playing in Marvel tournaments, I would suggest adjusting like everyone else has done with no problems.
Lets see Sin, I’m gonna be on the NE side Friday, so Saturday would be cool if you could get it back to me then.

Duck:whoa…man no hard feelings, it was not my attitude, i always have fun in tournamnets, it was probably that i didn’t get used to the controls of the sticks or something, i was not mad because i didn’t win, i got mad(a little bit) because i never got used to the controls of the sticks, i’ll probably buy one to get better at console or something for next time, and if you thought that i had a bad attitude or i thought i was talking shit against the tourney or players, sorry if i did, okay, don’t take it the wrong way, just trying to be friendly, just to let you know. There was a lot of badass players at austin, Sentinel and Capcomm owned all in the tourney, got…to…learn…to…defeat…them. i guess next tourney.:tup:

i know i did’nt even know that they now made more tourneys on consoles now, got to start practicing on consoles now and shit.
still want to know how they got the consoles connected to the PC’s they had over there at austin, it was pretty cool
