The top 4 goes likes this Sent/Storm/Mag/Cable, the next few are something like, Strider/Spiral/Doom/Cyke, then it’s like Ironman/Blackheart, and a few others.

Cammy has no high/low game, average priority, and can’t chip. All of the above people Excluding, Doom and Maybe BH, beat Cammy. Not to say she sucks by any means, but she’s nowhere near the top.

Sent is becoming hard as hell to beat with new tactics. I don’t know where you’re getting easier. It was easier to beat Sent at first cause no one abused fly, unfly, unblockables, fastfly, etc…

Fox, and the rest of SRK, can vouch for all of the above.

yeah, those are the top four, because their new tactics are abused. but there are ways around them, and so they are less and less effective as time goes on. i agree that cammy’s high/low game sucks, but i her priority is far above average, played correctly. her ability to severly punish people is what i’m talking about. seeing her in action lately, she is a total bitch, bar none. strider cannot handle her super combos, spriral cannot run forever, and cyke, like i said before, is very easily punished, and cammy is devastating when someone leaves themselves open for punishment. so yes, from my experience and the trends that i have seen, cammy is at about five, especially considering the trouble she can give all of the other top four, who often can only be hurt when they are punished.

sentinal is difficult, but becomes easier and easier. if someone can bring him down, or at least make him be still for a few moments playing his fly/unfly game, Collosus can beat most everything Sent does. with the same plan, Cable can AHVB most anything Sent tries. strider has the infinte against him. best of all, almost everything you do hits him. sacrificing MZ against him is one of my favorite things to do against those who do not expect it. even blackheart/doom makes life difficult for the giant trap-prone robot. ken’s AAA into the hulk’s meteor super is killer against him. hit him with a couple HP bullets from Cable, cancel into Triple super with Cable, Juggernaught, and the Hulk, and Sent dies pretty quick.
magneto dies against a solid turtle, and storm can be shut-down and sent flying away. the point is that the “top” tier lines are deteriorating as because the element of surprise is being stripped, and control can’t last forever without surprise unless you have a solid character. just look at the recent rogue matches.
with cammy’s priority, supers, and the temporary surprise moves and cancels, she is one of the best characters in the game.

Come on people you all should the know the tiers by now.

Big Four = Sentinel, Storm, Cable, Magneto

Mag gets knocked down a notch for taking hits like a little bitch.

Then you have the top tier who aren’t as good as the big four but can still be mean when paired with member of the Big Four or with the right assist. These people are, in no particular order…

Spiral, Strider, Doctor Doom, Blackheart, and Cyclops.

After them you have the middle tier which also happens to be the largest tier in the game. This tier has people who are usually picked because either someone is messing around or because they have a nice assist to backup one of the top tiers.

The middle tier has a shitload of people in it so I’m just going to put the middle tier highlights. If you don’t like that a particular character is in here then too bad because chances are this is where they’re supposed to be. So here are the highlights…

Captain Commando and his famous Captain Corridor AAA
Cammy and her famous AAA
Iron Man and his stupid gay infinite that I still can’t do
Ken with his invincible AAA
Tron with her hardhitting Projectile Assist
Rogue, who I’m putting in here just so DLJ won’t bitch
Juggernaut, if you don’t know his glitch learn it and have fun

and…

Psylocke… pair her with Magneto and someone who knows what they’re doing and watch the ass kicking display. :clap:

Then you have the low tier… people who suck but can still be used for fun.

Ryu, Amingo, Anarkaris, Jin, Shuma Gorath, and Thanos, and Akuma.

And last and least too you have the trash of the game. These are the guys that Capcom tossed in just to even out the character select screen and no one really knows the real reason for them getting in here. The piece of shit tier includes the following in any order you want because they all suck…

Dan, Hayato, Servbot, and Roll.

If the character you’re looking for isn’t mentioned here then chances are they’re in the middle tier and just didn’t have anything I could think of that would give them honorable mention. If you disagree with my tiers then bite me and make your own long post at 3am. For now its time to go to sleep.

lmao, the best players in the world don’t win because the characters they use are “top tier”… they win major tournies because they are the best players. the characters are only top tier because people are not used to facing the “new” tactics of magneto & storm; the power, stamina, and arena-control of sentinal; and Cable’s ability to play a strong-to-average keep-away game, then punish the hell out of anyone who is open, especially the opponent’s assists. when you get used to those things, it’s easy enough to find ways around them, or even shut them down. at the very least, punish them.
i am quite aware of the records of the tournies, thank you. but it’s not because of the “characters”! it’s because the PLAYERS know the advantages and disadvantages of tactics that other PLAYERS are NOT USED TO DEALING WITH. the more common the tactics become, despite their power, the easier it becomes for everyone to deal with them. then new techniques and tactics will be dominate for a while… doesn’t anyone here learn from history?

as my kenjutsu instructor once told me: "There’s no such thing as “sword-fighting… It is all PEOPLE-fighting, and we just happen to be using swords.”

the key is not to fight using your “best” weapons and attacks… it is to fight using the WORST weapons and attacks for the opponent! new abilities and tactics make the “top 4” powerful, but only for now. once you get to konw them well enough, you will find there are plenty of ways around them. or better yet, THROUGH them. :karate:

I had the better team yeah but he was just a better player:0(
Yes i can vouch for the awesome force that is sentinal… This character will stay top of the chain forever…yeah his stuff is seemingly old maybe predictable to an extent but how long has MVC2 been out? since the beginning or semi beginning he’s been the top assist/point/ whatever and thats where he will remain.

Well, you could just click on the pic and copy the link to it, then go to Image Mishmash and ask someone to make you an AV and paste the link to the pic there. Or you could just ask someone to make you an AV of which ever character(s) you’d prefer and someone will usually do it.
