I can’t speak for everyone but I heard some houston players were going and im pretty sure id lose to any of the austin/houston players in like a serious tourney. For that reason Id like to see exactly why i’d lose…

Ah Rudy don’t cry just because its going to be on console… think of the advantages of it. You don’t have to worry about being crowded by some obese guy while at the controls, you don’t have to worry about that ‘left side, right side crap’, and you don’t have to sit right in front of the screen killing your eyes. BTW is Astonishing X-Men #4 out this week?
I’m thinking of trying something out at diversions. For some reason I feel like dressing up like a fully-clothed nerd and try to hustle people into playing games of Chaos and KOF since everyone recognizes me and won’t play me. I’d also like to test my macking skills by trying to pick up chicks like that. I don’t know whats possesing me to try this. I think its those funny fumes that come outta my car when I’m driving…
damn! why didn’t anyone play MvC2 when i was living there??? the only people that i played against in Diversions either parried me to death in 3rd Strike and Soul Calibur 2, or whined about my traps in games in which they could not parry. nobody EVER played MvC2 when i lived in San Antonio! and now you are having a tourney!? damn! that sucks… i wish i could go back and have my revenge for all the times you parried everything i tried in 3rd Strike! oh well, at least i’m glad to see that you are playing real games now! have fun and kick some ass!!!

ok finally know who buster wolf is. Damn that right side sucked. freakin sticky buttons. Tourney== no, the last 1 i held had only 10 people but it was a tough competition. All the very good players entered except 1. fyi when using jhun on anthony. He knows his moves already cause i would own him doing those cheap stances with him.lol. I would beat all 3 chars with him using the cheap crap. We should play more often so i can improve your game and you with mine.

The console tournies always use MAS sticks and the like and it works out really great. I remember the Austin tournies were always done on huge screen TV’s with seperate sticks and custom MVC2 games. No annoying ass arcade music. There’s nothing wrong with console tournies, don’t believe the hype.

As far as I know it’s gonna be at one of the dorms on the UT campus. And I haven’t found a new job yet, so it looks like I’ll probably be free that weekend. Remember whoever wants to go with me just let me know and pitch in money and we’re there.
By the way, I have a pickup with only two other seats. If there’s more of ya’ll I’ll see about borrowing my sister’s Corrola for the day to seat about 2 or 3 more.

power man fox, who is the “best” mvc2 in the world that used to hold tournies there all the time? i spent half of my life in 2003 at Diversions on Perrin-Bitel (which i think has since been closed down) and a few visits to the one on San Pedro, and one other one which i don’t remember the location. (also north SA, not SWM) there where very few occasions when anyone played me in mvc2 at all, and the ones who did probably did not play video games seriously. most people just parried the hell out of me in 3rd Strike. even in SC2, which i have won tournaments in DFW and Cali, the people in San Antonio are the best parry & throw players that i have ever found. i have played fighting games across the US and Mexico in new york, chicago, LA, Colorado, Indianna, Mexico City, and that little piss-hole that is miami… so that is saying a lot. but nobody, NOBODY frustrated the living hell out of me by parrying every damn thing i did in 3rd Strike, and Guard Impacting half of my attacks in SC2. (even in the tournament i was in… that guy from Austin that murdered people with chun li, and i beat the hell out of him all 6 times that i played him… why? because he was combo-crazy, like the rest of the world, and “easy” for me… but you bastards in SA, i just could not get past your style when you guys played me seriously… but i murdered people when they tried to play me in KOF 03 and SVC Chaos. i loved it because everyone thought i would suck, after beating me so easily in 3rd Strike. i would have liked to do the same in mvc2, maybe some day i will have to go back to texas for a major tourny or something. (drooling for revenge LOL)
