Yeah I’d add Tam to that too. He seems pretty easy to pick up, as easy combos into super and does retard strength damage without really needing to work too hard for it.

Recoils still seem hard to punish with him though. It’s easily my main gripe with him, especially when I can just pick Ukyo and have 5M cover everything.
Yoshi, Ukyo and Charlotte are easily my favorite characters so far though. Mostly leaning on Ukyo now, he seems to be both consistent and flexible.

Anyone from central Europe, PS4? Can you find opponents rather quickly, with decent connection? I’m still not sure about this game. It has just been released and people are saying netcode is trash, matchmaking is trash and considering it was just released, views on twitch are very low. I’m just afraid I’ll pay 60€ and the game will pretty much be dead 2 weeks later.
i doubt the game will die. it will be niche at worst. it’s not super flashy and doesn’t have a ton of content but it is fun and has solid systems in place.

Western Europe here (France) I find ranked games alright with decend netcode, but there aren’t that many casual players to train with either.
Brain dead? Just pick Ukyo and learn to backdash-Tsubame.

On the other side, who is the Zato1/Carl/Ibuki/Vatista of he game, who has lots of technical tricks but is top tier wit them?
Yoshitora probably has the most “extra” stuff going on, and is at the top.

I don’t really think there’s a character like that. Hanzo and Galford can be quite tricky, but they’re not very technical, they just have a lot of tricks to them while being quite good.

Would Ruixiang be the Zato of this game what with her weird trap projectiles?
I guess Hanzo would be the closest to ibuki, not cuz they ninjas but he is mix up city with his fireball lock down with run mix ups.

Most people are putting Yoshitora out of top tier this. He’s hurting from lacking 5SPs movement options.
Top right now is looking like TamTam, Genjuro, Ukyo, and Charlotte.

I decided to buy it yesterday. I don’t know, feels like a mistake for now. I tried finding a room lvl4 connection, no rooms found. Same for lvl3 and up. Then I set it to all regions and it found only 1 room with 1 player. Also, it says I’m in USA region and I’m guessing it’s because I have US account. So when I search for rooms in same region, maybe that’s why it doesn’t find any. My question is, can I change my in game region so it says EU because that’s where I am? I can’t find it anywhere in the options or I’m just blind. And it’s weird that the game doesn’t have this option because literally every other game has it.
Any help?

Building on that, I did play 3 casual matches with someone from Germany and 2 ranked with someone from Spain. Connection was very good(I’m from Slovenia). It does take long to find an opponent in ranked though. Not sure if there really aren’t many players playing or is it because of my account region or what. I like the game though. Shame that it’s not more popular.

That’s fair, but if Yoshi isn’t literally top he’s going to be just outside of it. Too many tools to be bad, it’s going to be hard to completely keep 7th sword from ever coming out.
7th sword hardly ever factored in 5SP, where he was top tier. I don’t see anything changing here, trying to force all your specials is a sure way to get duffed in SamSho.
Legitimately, I don’t have a great grasp on competitive 5sp. But for this game, landing 3 per round with a chance to get a freebie on time outs seems doable enough to give him a leg up on mid tiers.
