Late again.
When does the Sam Sho Anthology drop? Seems redundant to buy individual games at the moment with that on the horizon.
especially on pc where you can just emulate the old games and most likely have a better netcode experience with fightcadeā¦i am not sure what some devs try to achieve with these old rehashes on pc. barely anyone is buying that stuff, not to speak stick to it.
Hopefully its gonna have the new netcode but yeah. Getting people off of FighCade isnt easy.
If you half ass it like with Street Fighter Anniversary people dont have the insentive to switch.

Samurai Shodown V Special on PS4 and Steam actually seems to perform better than FightCade (I believe @TheDoctaMario can confirm this as well).
Also, the collection isnāt being worked on by Code Mystics, so we donāt know if itās gonna have rollback netcode.

Ok chaps I did better than expected I come 2nd to a guy I think named tenrai
There was a lot of entrants 48 I managed to snag me a copy of the game which I was really stoked about
Dev I think they might have changed his super or when I tested I fucked up but itās not safe in the final build I played
The event had all the characters except the boss and the dlc ones
I mainly used Charlotte with a bit of hanzo thrown in to
Itās quite late here and Iām still on my way home from the event but Iāll say this kyoshiro mains

Of course I am probably wrong but as a kyoshiro user off the bat it donāt look good at all
Iāll leave these two things down middle is now so so so so slow
And the frog no longer combos or we couldnāt get it to at all unless itās only supposed to be used after a throw

better netcode then ggpo? that would actually surprise me.
one of the issues i have with these remakes, they adjust them to 16:9 with no option to play without borders on a 4:3 screen so you get a much smaller image out of it.

Well Darliās might be useable, but only a real idiot is gonna get hit by a full charge hammer.

This demo certainly changed my opinion about the game. Ukyo is good (QCF+Slash, d+LS for the win), Charlotte is decent (Light Slash all day), but everything else is underwhelming to say the least. The amount of weapon disarms is ridiculous and the majority of every characterās movelist is very unsafe on block (even supers) more so than many previous games in the series. Worst of all Genjuro is awfully stubby and unsafe outside of a throw setup and whiff/block punish heavy slash.
It is giving me Samurai Shodown III flashbacks, so I am bowing out. Looks like Samurai Shodown V Special will remain the best game released by SNK Playmore for the near future.
I can say without hyperbole that this is easily the best netcode Iāve ever played on. Even on my Vita, itās solid af.

Like what the fuck were you even expecting? Nothing is truly safe in SamSho, even 5SP. Only way to not get duffed is recoil cancels, and even that takes commitment.
