Gameplay stream:
One thing i did forget is that there’s gonna be some chracter specific combos in the game, especially with regards to throws and back throws.
for example with hoahmaru if you backthrow on hoahmaru you can land i down middle slash super, you try that on yashumaru the down middle slash just whiffs
I kinda wish i had spent a bit more time with yashamaru, explored his moves a little more in paticular his air fireball, one thing about him i noticed is that i think he gets 2 raged specials where as i think the rest of the cast so far only have one, so he seems like built around being raged, which in this game if pretty easy to achieve with just defend, and being able to just defend mid block to seeing as there’s no abosulte guard
I did some testing, it’s pretty hard to just defend mid block you can’t just mash back, i even tried to do it to yashumarus WTF and it was pretty much a no go, so you’re probably gonna have to really practice it
I also noticed some people just defending jump ins and going for throw, so i tried to jump in heavy back dash cancel the landing frames which seems to avoid it, but i’m just one man it would have been more conclusive if i had somebody to check it more in deapth
Just defend timing is pretty strict, not cvsnk2 strict but it’s not as loose and garou.
For any tenka fans the counterhit state from tenka seems to have gone, there is no prolonged hitstun in CH which allowed for counterhit only combos
@TheDoctaMario
Id be down for some games, just be aware im in the uk with regards to connection issues
Also i’ve been out of the fightcade game for a very long time so let me get it set it up get myself an ethernet cable, do i still need to portforward ect?
Forget about raged specials, Chuunimaru has raged normals. 5C gains a second hit when raged and does 50% total.
Also, at casuals today, what one guy would do with him was Rage Explosion, then spam WFT, forcing his opponent to either eat chip, or try to jump over and eat an Issen instead.
Ah i wondered why sometimes i was hitting two hits rather than one sometimes with him.
Yeah that WTF is pretty good, i wonder if some chracters can even jump it like a charlotte for example
I am legit salivating at the possibility of giving a whole new generation of scrubs the business with Charlotte. I’ve got this pre-ordered.
Nako can bird cling into dive to punish it, she can also use a well timed reflect and to take out most of it (has to block the last hit).
Has anyone heard anything about roll back netcode?
I don’t live in Socal anymore so I really need that
Yeah man lemme know when you get Fightcade set up. I’m eastern US and generally have good connections to the UK & western EU depending on the connection they have (I have wired fiber.) And no, you don’t need to do any port forwarding either.
That’s… not at all what I was saying.
Wong’s videos are the worst. He’s unprepared, doesn’t show that he’s actually trying to learn the game, and just says exactly nothing for however long the video goes on for. He’s a great player, he could do so much better, but he doesn’t, again, I suspect because he’s just doing it for views.
And guess what? That’s going to happen. It comes with the territory of any game that’s actually attempting to reach out to an audience beyond their core crowd. You’re going to get players that really don’t give a shit about the game commenting on it to get views.
Of course he’s doing it for the views. You think he makes these videos because he is bored?
It’s fine. Every video he makes gets more potential players.
Demo stuff. Run attacks autocorrect, so this might be a good way to punish forward rolls, especially with characters like Yashamaru who have high and low attacks out of run.
Day 1 patch will address the input lag.
Big bro.
I’m disgusted that someone is willy-nilly ready to pounce on an entire community for some clout. They could have informed the team privately and spared them the embarrassment.
Pretty sure the dudes checking input lag dont do it for clout. They do it so devs are aware of issues that may escape them.
When you call it “the worst lag ever measured” then give it an F rating, then it’s difficult to believe they were simply trying to inform devs
I dunno. Putting it in the spotlight is a good way to make sure that shit gets addressed. Also people know the current SNK crew is all about the community so they are probably happy they could have a patch ready on day 1
Except the data actually backs that claim up.
Edit:
Backdash Tsubame Gaeshi is still a thing.
