I played SS3 in the arcade for a year, so I’m not sure what you’re talking about here. How is the emulated version of SS3 rom different to the arcade? (I’m assuming the “counsel” version is the PSX version, which was garbage). And while I’m no fan of SSIV either, SS3 is clearly much worse unless you like all your characters being stupidly broken.

Now personally I don’t know if I would say Sn was hyped as one of the “worst fighters ever”, but it was definitely making a run for “worst SS” (though it would have to tried amazingly hard to fail worse than New Chapter of Blade/WR2; BTW, throw SS64 in that pile as well). In the absolute scale I always pictured Sen as being the epitome of mediocre and unnecessary, but I wouldn’t classify it in the same class as, say, War Gods.

You realise this is the first SS64 I’m talking about, right? I give SS64-2 a pass because I’ve never actually played it (I just know and have seen enough that I have zero interest in playing it), but I played SS64 and it made me long for SS3.

the first ss64 is pretty good. don’t know how people can play the second version which is even slower. oh wait, it’s not sf2 so ss64 sucks.
SS64 is an ugly ungainly mess masquerading as an SS game with badly implemented systems (stamina gauge) and the worst hit detection I’ve ever encountered in a fighting game.
Don’t worry about what they say. Most of Black Shroud’s and Tech Romancer’s posts have just said “Sen is terrible” and “The other SS games are amazing.”
Really guys…you should either contribute to SS:Sen or just stop posting. You’re not going to recruit people to play the other SS games.
I played Sen by a friend, and it’s a juggle fest. It’s fun because I keep mashing buttons randomly and the opponents get juggled in the air.

Since when have I said the other SS games are all amazing? WR2 is horrible. SS3 is horrible. I don’t care for SSIV. SS2 is overrated. SS1 is irrelevant. V is fun to an extent. Vsp is a lot more balanced but some may not like the pace. SS6 is pretty solid all around but you have to ban some infinties and loops.
BTW Ultima thinks Sen is trash as well so I don’t see why you’re quoting him like he agrees with you or some shit.

Ultima said that the game was mediocre; not that it was trash. He doesn’t like the game, but he doesn’t hate it either. None of that really matters though as anyone has the right to hate a game. What’s important is that Ultima only said it one time and then went on with his life.
