Shishioh:
> 1. 2 is bad by today’s standards and at least I have listed some reasons why.
Your reasons are either wrong (“Random scrubs killing you with random slashes”), exaggerated (“random damage”), or irrelevant (“funky ass animations” - note: also wrong). SS2 does have issues, but not any mentioned by you.
> 2. Burst was sloppy and pissed me and a whole lot of people off. Deal breaker there.
You’re the first one to mention it as such. Most just deal with it and move on.
> 3. You seem to forget that 5 special has 100% combos that start from a single front hit. Get over the throwing aspect in 3/4 please.
Don’t change the subject. We were talking about throws. I said dashing throws in SS2 were abusive, but throws were arguably more abusive in SS3/4 since you could potentially kill a character off a throw in those games, which is not possible in SS2.
> 4. I still don’t see what’s so great about 2 since you won’t elaborate.
I’ve mentioned my preferences for SS2 for various reasons in this thread multiple times, but what I was specifically responding to was your statement: Random scrubs killing you with random slashes that take huge chunks of energy off+get you dizzy. Risk/reward was pretty fucked up in that game IMHO. Your opinion is wrong. This only applied if you sucked at Samurai Shodown.
I have no problem with you preferring the later SS games, but when you make false statements, I will call you out on it. Stop while you’re behind.
> If you don’t want 2 to be exposed/defamed, don’t throw unjustified hate on the others in the series because a vast majority in this thread seems to like the later games a little more.
Are we reading the same thread? Unlike you, I’ve been here since the beginning. The games that get the most praise are SS2 and SS0S. SS6 and SS4 has fewer defenders, relatively. And I wasn’t even shitting on the other SS games when we off on this path; once again, I’m merely correcting your blatantly incorrect statement about SS2. Get over it.
