Samurai Shodown Anthology

Come on SK, last year you were mistaken on Tenka’s button layout and now you’re saying it had blood? What’s happening? Tekken finally got the best of your brains? No offense but it’s just weird since you actually played the game (even if only a little)

Going off of 2 year old memory is bad. Tenka had 0 blood and I do remember pointing that out before too. =/ w/e And I never played it in arcades, since no place in Okinawa had it.

I’m getting old.

BS! no excuse!! Let me see I ordered tenka on Atomiswave system. If I recevice the game. let me know I’ll telling you. :wgrin:

dude what the hell did you just say

Has anyone been able to get a gamecube controller to work with this? I’ve heard split reports of either the GC will work, or that the game is classic controller or wiimote only. If there’s a way to get the GC controller going, I’d love to hear how. I havent been able to yet.

Looks like a chinese poster who hasn’t mastered english. Don’t freak, Canada has chinese people. Since they have chinese, they also have liars (chinese gymnastics team woot!). This guy seems to be one. Ain’t no blood in tenka.

He’s French Canadian, and only knows American Sign Language which evidently is Yoda-speak without the pesky conjugation. So his sentence structure is the same as ASL, because thats the closest to English he knows. Funny as all hell to read sometimes.

And has no respect for the handicapped.

So do you still have to pay to play the SNK games online? I have a JP PS3 and I’ve been considering importing this, been waiting and wonder what the US price is going to be. If it’s $15 then I will just wait, but I have a feeling it will be $40 like the Metal Slug Anthology…

Apparently US version of SS Anthology will not have SSV Special.

I kind of figured that it was too good to be true. If the Japanese version didn’t have it, then why would they include it in the U.S version??? I also feared the prospect of the U.S-developed SSVS port, which was the case with the XBOX port of SSV, “Metal Slug Anthology” and “SNK Arcade Classics Volume 1”, all of whch had flaws, moreso the last one.

Now, my eyes are on the U.S version of the KoF “Orochi Saga” Collection, with its added ports of '94 and '98…I wonder who’ll be developing those, seeing that the JPN collection didn’t have them.

Actually JPN versions have them (KOF94RB has KOF94, KOF98UM has KOF98), so my guess is that they’ll be including those versions in the US collection.

Regardless of the news, it’s still great that they’re releasing all these titles at a 15 dollar price point. It’s partially the reason why my PS2 collection has doubled in the past year.

why does snk had such a hard time porting neo geo games on to saturn, ps1 and ps2… well at least they are doin an ok job porting the taito whatever it is system games over

That directly contradicts what they said earlier this year. Are you sure that promo didn’t just copypaste from the JPN version? Cause the US version of SSA even had all 7 SS games mentioned (with pictures) on the back of the box. :expressionless:

When is it coming out on the PS2

I’m really hoping that webpage is wrong, but that’s what it says.

I called that shit.

Yeah, I know, but I wonder if they’re actually going through the effort of integrating that code into the existing JPN '95-'97 collection, or if they’re creating new ports from scratch (whoever the hell’s handling this project).

Back to SSA…now that I think about it, do you think that the SSV included in this compilation will be the original gimped Neo release with no storylines, or the XBOX version w/the translated storylines??? Lease that they could do if they’re not including SSVS is include the latter, arguably superior version of SSV.

Ok I imported mine and its pretty much arcade perfect, SST has shorter loading times and a bit of choppiness when you run and screen is zoomed out on SSV and SSV has storylines but something I noticed is:

  • WHY SS 1 to 5 are so LOW RES? I mean compared to FF battle archives and WH anthjology has so good res on all games, this one looks VERY blurry and low res. There must be some option/code to turn it off.

Otherwise great compillation
