If you read the first post, I asked for your experiences with whiners and stupid things they say.
Regardless, I’m venting my frustrations because having people bitch and whine while I play a game is annoying.

yeah i know this guys who barely got the game he’s not that big in fighting games (he’s always talking crap about them and how to win all you need to do is spam, be cheap, or button mash and says that because of this the fighting game community will never be much because of this even though all he does in mk is use uppercuts and 50000000 grabs on computers. not to mention he is always putting down fighting games,but i think its because me and my friend are known around where he hangs out for being the fighting game guys and totally kick his ass all the time at mvc3 and ssf4 deep breath anyways ) but i played him and man he got so effin salty it was ridiculous
it has been years since i have seen someone throw their controller on the ground leave out the scumbag incident at evo, but he did it.

My parents were overprotective Jewish parents who wouldn’t even fucking let me watch Power Rangers as a kid. The only time I got to play MK was when I was at my one friend’s house whose mother didn’t care about what he played.

Yesterday I had over 10 rage quits. Today I had another 8 or 9. It’s actually pretty weird. Maybe I’ve been getting unlucky.
Because everyone’s experiences are the exact same.

But seriously, I play plenty of games online. Never have I had an entire lobby of people bitching and moaning while I was beating them. Though, I’m tempted to think you’d fit in well with them.
Allow me to clarify. I’m not annoyed with Mortal Kombat’s community. Mortal Kombat has a very dedicated fanbase that consists of a lot of cool people. I’m annoyed with all the mouthy fuckers that haven’t played a fighting game in their life coming online and acting like they know what they’re talking about.
Yeah, see, that’s every online game. Every. Single. One. Shit ain’t new bro, and it is certainly not unique to MK.

It’s the first week the game is out, don’t pay any mind to the people whining on voice chat or in messages. Even if you are using an annoying tactic they probably are failing at blocking or failing at trying to figure out a way to counter, it which is their fault.
I really expect in the next week or two for most of these scrubs to drop MK and move on to the next new release.
It’s true. While I’m seeing a lot more rage quits and angry messages than I would in MvC or Street Fighter, I can understand why they get so angry. There isn’t much information available yet. Maybe after a few days, and more contributions to character specifics, things that are frustrating people now will be understood and avoidable later. Not many people have played MK with this large a community, and it’s a lot to take in.
Time smooths out all the nubs, I’d say.
I just mute everybody I play with online, in any game. I know I’m not missing anything.
I played about 15 matches last night against randoms, and although the lag was better than the launch day, this is how my sets went.
- played a guy 1 match, he rage quit during my x-ray move that would have finished him and gave my 2nd round.
- played a guy 1 match, beat him, and he quit.
- played a guy 1 match, beat him, and he quit
- played a guy 6 matches, he beat me once, i beat him 5 times in a row, then he quit - this was actually a very good set
- played a guy 2 matches, beat him twice he quit
- played a guy 1 match, beat him, he quit
- played a guy 1 match, he ragequit like 1/2 way through round 2 during my raiden torpedo attack and he had like 25% health left.
- played a guy 2 matches, beat him and he quit
So yes, I agree this community is salty as shit and it is going to be annoying if these idiots don’t stop playing. MK definitely caters to the casual crowd so these people tend to rage when they lose instead of try to get better.
