Have any of you guys experienced just how fucking salty this game’s online community is? It’s pathetic. I just came out of a KOTH room, where literally ALL 7 other players were bitching and moaning while I beat the living fuck out of them. (I play Sub-Zero by the way, who has several flaws.)
Amongst the whining were these complaints:
“All he does is block and uppercut when I teleport punch.”
“All he does is slide. LOOK THERE HE SLID AGAIN.”
I told them that it was like I performed a babality on them, and they all turned into salty crybabies.
They literally bitched and moaned for 30 minutes, saying the same shit over and over in what I can only assume was a feeble attempt to disguise their lack of skill and make each other feel better.
I put them all in there place, for sure, seeing as simple logic defeats all of their bitching.
I wonder, have any of you experienced this ocean of salt? What kind of stupid shit have you heard people say while you ripped them apart?
Oh yeah. You’re definitely not alone in this assessment.
When I’m not experiencing huge amounts of lag and can get matches in, I’m constantly getting quit on. I had 15 rage quits early yesterday alone. Never seen that kind of rage before in my life.
You sound like you probably have some patience with that kind of whining. I would’ve muted them long before it reached 30 minutes of whining about blocking or slides.
I’ve personally been playing Kabal exclusively and he’s a pretty trusty quit inducer. I have a very average record of 89-33, too. I’m not that good at all. I just know how to punish. A lot of people online don’t know how to properly do some good damage. I’ll do simple pop-up, FP, air fireball, ground spin, hook grab every time they spam teleport punch with Scorpion and I block. Then they’ll quit and accuse me in a message of only holding block.
It never ends. I’m sure this breed of player will be rooted out in the coming weeks, anyway.
Why play online? For many people, as well as myself, we just don’t have a local competitive scene. Online stokes the competitive fires because it’s the only option once single player has been drained.
These quits will die down soon, just like they did with Street Fighter 4, so I wouldn’t be too concerned just yet. It does get old quickly, though, so I can relate to that. Hearing someone complain when you’re trying to concentrate on the action is the worst, too.
I swear to god they would bitch EVERY time I would do a slide with Sub-Zero. “LOOK HE DID A SLIDE AGAIN, I TOLD YOU HE’D SLIDE.”
It’s like, no fucking shit I’m going to use his slide, it’s one of his best tools. If you know I’m going to fucking slide, then block low and punish. I can’t stand these morons, they need to get back to their garbage FPSs.
Also, if you’re going to play online… I suggest playing some good players who will give you GG’s without the BS. Here are some Gamertags: STORMS_TYM, SINH3LL, BMF_KRAYZIE_BONE, Riu_48, Konqrr, Tim_Static, AC1984MK and that’s just a few of them.
a) The guy would constantly rematch me and try to beat me. He would sometimes switch characters up to counter me. After 3 failed attempts at beating me, they will quit. No PM or anything.
b) If I’m playing a 2P tag (undefeated 20-0, despite the buggy records saying I lost 13 times!), I often hear the other side where the two guys are bitching at each other for failing. Of course, if I had my mic up, I would tell them that they were both terrible but whatever. When you have one guy who can beat two of your guys…well…yeah, that says quite a bit.
MK attracts alot more casual players, and many of them are scrubs who complain about spamming, throws, etc. I wouldn’t worry about it. One of the great things about MK over other fighting games is that you can really humiliate them with fatalities, babalities, etc.
As a seasoned SF player, I used to annihilate people at my arcade in MK2 and the bitching and crying was epic. It seems like things haven’t changed…
pissing people of is the goal of every multiplayer game! even every competitive sport!
ragequits, hatemails and trashtalking make me proud and happy!
cant get enough of that!
