After a blocked f+mk, do CH st.lk > cr.mk xx shou or st.lk xx ex tatsu. It should beat all his options besides block, dp and walk back. But don’t abuse this since Ken can walk back after f+mk and do sweep or just DP your st.lk.
The usual shoto setup of forward throw, 1 step back, j.hp to make DP Whiff.
His overhead is apparently -4 on block so st.lp/cl.hp/cr.hp/st.lk that shit up.
There’s something about HP shou then 1-2 steps forward then j.mk beating his DP.
Watch out for patterns on what he does after ex tatsu, (throw, DP, cr.lk pressure etc.)
His fireball has bad recovery compared to Ryu’s, ex otoshi it.
Again for Ken, I’m not sure what normals beats what normals. St.lk/cr.mk his cr.mk’s whiff.

The last few weeks I’ve decided that Ken just comes down to one thing for me, get hit with kara throws and lose, or nail my techs and win. And also not trying to punish whiffed dps of theirs, since he’s fucking gutter trash and can fire off another dp faster than you can start a jab string.
If by close you mean if he does ex tatsu and you block, well I think air ex tatsu from ken is safe on block. If you’re talking about it whiffing, then all the same punishes should apply. I asked this in another thread yesterday or something, but I’ll ask it again. You in Michigan, Hornett?
EX shoueken blows up certain option selects on wakeup, because it starts up in 12 frames
For example, Akuma demon flip palm OS sweep or demon. Normally against 4-5 frame reversals Akuma will be able to block,
but against Sakura his palm will whiff and he will input a sweep or a demon and it will come out getting stuffed by EX shoueken due to the late startup.
The Akuma player can solve this by OSing with SRK. Which is better for Sakura cause it won’t give a hard knockdown.

What i meant is fireballs have slow startup, and don’t punish much, and for things that are punisheable by a fireball, that woukd be just about the weakest punish you could do.

You can easily FADC a fireball into a punish (like mentioned in last post). However, it’s still a bad idea to attempt to punish a Ken who whiffs an EX Tatsu. They ALWAYS follow up with a dragon punch or an Ultra, or even something completely unexpected.

I can’t tell if you’re trolling or just saying really unintelligent things. We’re talking about PUNISHING. Ken can’t dp while he’s in recovery buddy. Sure, you can fadc a fireball. Or you could not spend those two bars and start a bnb from a move with less than a million start up frames (so you know, your punish is more likely to actually be a punish, and you’ll do more damage and spend less meter.) I don’t mean to be a dick but make sure you know what you’re talking about before advising others how to play.
