This setup also works on Ryu, Ken, Ibuki, Akuma, Dan, Sakura, Oni, E.ryu, Cammy and Adon.
Combo with cl.st.hp
on adon you can do C.mp xx shunpu c.hp xx shunpu c.mk xx hp.shouoken.
on Guile after HP.srk you can do st.lp j.hp/mk like normal
but after like ex.shunpu dash sweep wait untill you stand up then jump j.hp/mk 5050 after a sweep
Damn Uryo never ceases to amaze me, definitely gonna start watching more of his matches again. I’ve been trying to emulate Chris G’s playstyle lately but Uryo is on another level.
Anyway: 11:17 into the video. Cr. Mk xx Hp dp, U2, dash, j.hp (hits really deep). Not sure if this is a fake crossup, I’ll test tomorrow. Also funkie, do you know of any ambiguous setups after a corner U2?
and yeah uryo is awesome, I used to think all he did was make insane reads, but the better I got the more I realized how well he knows every match up. He’s pretty much always standing at the most optimal ranges.
I know i managed to do a really good reversal safe unblockable with like ex.shunpu dash sweep a step fw sit down mk or hk.shunpu but i cant manage to get it down anymore…
Prob a stupid question but when you guys are practicing unblockable setups, how do you set the dummy? If you put him on all block and you do it right, the dummy wont block it right?
You set Sakura as Player 2 and record the setup as Sakura. Then you control Player 1 and manually block the setup.
In other words, you can’t test the setups with a dummy (it’s impossible since its the CPU and it can block anything). You have to test the setups yourself.
Saw a Sakura player do an interesting setup vs Seth on Yoro’s stream http://www.twitch.tv/yoro1027/b/508992554 at around 1:46:32, hits crossup it seems after I tested it in training mode, not sure how useful this is compared to the usual setups.
