Otoshi x2, whiff 3rd hit, jump, dash, j.mk (fake crossup)/j.lk (crossup). And now we have setups against EVERY CHARACTER :smiley:

Can someone test this to see if its an unblockable?

Took me a while to get it to connect it seems hard trying it at first but im sure it will be practical with pratice.

This got me thinking now that you posted that vid is if you guys ever see anything in pro videos like Uryos which looks like a potential Unblockable setup please mention it in here and we will test to see if there is an Unblockable we don’t know about.

Edit: Also works on E.Honda, Seth, Juri, Abel & Hakan couldnt test on Dudley, Gouken, Chun & Cody becuase my cr.hk was whiffing on those characters with the recording. These setups only work midscreen btw.

Edit 2: I dunno whats going on but the recording i have when tested on Fei Long (Juri, Seth & Hakan) were Unblockables but when i went to check through them all again with the same recording Juri, Seth & Hakan started blocking completely. Very weird. :confused:

yes some unblockables off the sweep :slight_smile:

I think it depends on the time you sweep. The sweep is active for 3 frames so that changes the timing. Good to know that against Fei Long the timing of the sweep doesn’t seems to matter. Does it work only after a sho xx FADC?

It works fine with just a raw EX Tatsu into sweep that’s how i was testing it. Might test MK with this setup see if i can get anything out of this.

I just saw a setup in a match, Sakura did a mp shouken on Dudley in the corner (he didn’t quick rise), dash x2, backdash, j.hp. Dudley blocked it as a cross-up so he got hit, this is either fake cross-up or an unblockable (probably not an unblockable though). I’m gonna test it in a few mins to see exactly what it is. I hope this is a universal setup.

Also @03:56, Sakura did the same setup. However after he backdashed, Dudley did a reversal and Sakura recovered in time to block, which allows Sakura to fully punish Dudley.

I’m very new to Sakura (just started maining her this week) so if this isn’t a true setup or is already known, my apologies :open_mouth: I’m just trying to watch and steal as many high level tactics as I can.

Something else I saw yesterday which isn’t really a setup but is a good thing to use in the Akuma match-up is: after a midscreen EX tatsu > dash > j.hp (you hit Akuma in the air) >jump back (allows you to fully punish Akuma if he teleports back). I saw TFA Hornett do this, however he may have os the jump back. But I’m not sure since he did it without Akuma teleporting as well back so I don’t know if its more of a read or he just messed up the os the second time he did it.

I’ve only been able to replicate it twice. I know you have to walk forward slightly when you land, then level 2 fireball (don’t charge it all the way) for the overhead to combo. Anybody have any tips for me to be able to do this consistently? I would love to add this to my game.

I don’t walk forward at all. I whiff cr. Lk to help me time the lv 2 fireball.

I usually just walk a step, whiff st.lp and then lvl 2 fireball.

I found an Unblockable for Seth Midscreen after an ex tatsu > sweep… BUT it only worked because I mistakenly mistimed my st. Lp, it’s not possible to replicate it unless we can replace the st. Lp with something that takes up the perfect amount of frames (I tried for about 30 mins and didn’t get any results).
Setup was ex tatsu, dash, sweep, mistimed st. Lp, j.hk.
Seth would walk forward into the j.hk if he held forward, and vice versa.
This same setup became a blockable in the corner so it can most likely become an Unblockable if we experiment.

Also, St.lp, j.hk is a good option after an ex tatsu, sweep to make the opponent guess what side to block but only works on about half the cast. I’ll test it out in all the characters later.

Try st.lk let me know how that goes.

Also that MP DP Dudley setup is unblockable.

Since you guys are so awesome with this unblockable data, heres who 2x otoshi into cross-up lk tatsu works on in corner: Ryu-ken-chun-ibuki-akuma-dan-oni-sim-e ryu-blanka and fuerte. I believe its almost identical with jump forward lp into cross-up lk tatsu but that one works on viper and sakura as well. May work on a few more-not entirely sure- I would only do jump forward lp on chun and blanka after i safe jump them to death and make them burn all their meter. Great finds though guys - now to list semi-unblockables guys. lol

What do you do between the 2nd otoshi and the tatsu to time it?

I tried st.lk, cr.lk, cr.lp, st.mk; I even tried all of those again while using j.hp instead of j.hk. And no, I didn’t try that recording on another character. Also a general note, for the j.hk to hit; the combo has to have a lk tatsu looped at least once. Otherwise, it’ll just whiff.

just backdash off 2x otoshi I wait until shes almost completely vanished from screen when shes falling from 2nd otoshi- then after b dash- do lk tat and forward dash and lk tat again will cross up

Damn, this spreadsheet is gonna be tough. There’s so many variations, even for the same character. I personally prefer to do backdash, tatsu if possible, but some of y’all prefer jump, crMP for instance… And of course there’s variations for post throw unblockables… I prefer to whiff LK, some prefer to whiff crLP.

Think it’s worth it to list all the common variants?
