Sakura Setups and Safe Jumps

I was trying to figure those out because I figured it was an underutilized tool that she had available midscreen in addition to meaty lvl3 and lvl2 fireballs.

Standing still whiffs gouki but who has the guts to do that and if u mess up the setup it smack him lol. I use mk otoshi i find other otoshi have stricter timing or dont work and no i only did this for gouki. The dash light dp is usually my safe jump timing in the corner. Yea i know the adon thing already i just couldnt get itto hit at front so i ditched it. Also on cody u can x up with jhp and hit in front with jhk

Yesterday when testing Yun’s unblockable, I accidently made a blockable. He was able to block in both directions o_______o

Yeah that’s been happening a lot to me lately when trying to finding unblockables. I would like to know the cause for this does anyone know if they block both sides does it mean there is a high chance there is a possible unblockable?

Well it could also mean that you messed up a 50/50 setup so you’ve found 1 or the other I’d think…

Found more Unblockables after forward throw same setup as the Blanka one except timing of the jump mk is different & works on multiple characters.

Works on Cody, Chun Li, Guy, Ibuki, Yang & Yun.

i know the fake x up after throw gets blown up by wake up ultra, is this safe to wake up ultra? i might use this instead if it is lol

It’s safe from what i have tested and you should be using this one over the fake crossup one anyway it’s an unblockable lol. :wink:

Yes, please do. We can all pitch in and edit the document. It would be so much easier to have everything organized in one place where we can continue to add things in the future instead of having to look through the entire thread.

Just wanted to quote this, as this is indeed a doable alternative to the jump, clMP setup. Instead of leaving long gaps between otoshis, you simply do 2 quick otoshis, backdash, tatsu, then early jMK.

You get to build meter, so that’s a plus. Consistency feels a bit worse to me atm compared to the other way, though… dunno any tricks for this setup yet.

Edit: hmm I really want to use this, but I just haven’t found a way to make this as consistent as the jump, clMP setup.

Yes it hits if they crouch just tested earlier. Very safe unblockable aswell Yang can get out for free with his EX Teleport/Dash move will probably test later and see if a OS can punish it.

Against Sakura you can also do - Otoshi x2, whiff 3rd hit dash forward twice, cr.mk, jump mk let me know if this one seems easier or more consistant.

Also found a better Unblockable on C.Viper pretty damn sure it’s safe as well & more damage with HP instead of MK - Otoshi x2, do not whiff 3rd hit, cr.hp, backdash, jump.hp.

I really want to find an unblockable against Ryu & Cammy but they seem to be immune to Unblockables with Sakura lol.

I’m starting thinking this is too much. It’s ok to have a couple of situational setups (or against characters that can indeed escape, like Dudley), but this is becoming broken XD Unblockables everywheeeeeere lol. We’re becoming Ibuki XD

I used to play Rufus, and I know for a fact that one of Cammy’s unblcokables (backthrow whiff something j hp) is straight up unblockable on Rufus UNLESS he crouches in which case it whiffs. This unblockable hit kinda low which is why I asked.

Oh no problem though Sakura’s mk/HP has a good enough hurtbox that it shouldn’t whiff on anyone if they’re crouching as long as you do the setups properly…
It does for some reason whiff on certain characters that press nothing…
