Sakura Otoshi - make it hit high only.
EX Tatsu - likes to wiff the 2nd hit most of the time, would be nice if it hit since EX Tatsu has overall damage to compensate for the juggle.
Hadoken - make level 1 have less recovery to be more competitive in fireball wars, make level 3 be 2 hit.
LK Tatsu - one more frame of hit stun (+5) will make my scrub self happy :3 (I actually don’t think this is necessary, just would help a lot of new Sakura players with the LK Tatsu loops, would make plinking an advanced technique rather than a necessity)
I’m still new to Sakura/SFIV, but I generally like where she is right now. She can use slight improvements but she is viable (if only underplayed), if you buff the rest of the cast please give Sakura some love as well.
So yes, I get my cr.HP -> EX Tatsu to work on all characters. EX Hadouken damage buff is something I’mma forget about really quick, but that first one’s the big one for me. I’m actually OK with this; I’m just fortunate they didn’t nerf her. Now all that’s left is to leave it to people’s execution to get Sakura to work for them. 2012 patch is looking rather sweet right now across the board (and I’m currently loving the fact that people are already complaining about Fei-Long and Akuma’s nerfs being ‘unnecessary’)
Yeah, but a whiffed cr.lk or cr.lp is safer than a whiffed cl.HP (like if they backdash or reversal). I think Yun’s lk and mk Reversal Up Kicks don’t hit crouching opponents…and hk Up Kicks have 8 frames of start-up, meaning you can use meaty cr.lp and not get hit by non-EX Up Kicks at all (in theory)…
Plus, you can’t option select backdashes using cl.HP.
I like the buffs! I think the improved hitbox is really significant, sometimes I avoid comboing into tatsu in fear that it might whiff certain characters like yun.
Too bad we didn’t get shorter hadouken recovery. But Uryo has shown us that it is still possible to zone decently with what we already have, so I’m not complaining.
You can do c.lk, c.lp, c.hp x lk shunpu, st.lk x ex shunpu as well against those characters afaik.
For Yun and Yang you can even do c.lk, c.lp, c.mp x lk shunpu, c.hp x lk shunpu, c.mk/c.hk.
And you can option select backdashes with hp.
Skatan, I’ve actually had problems with the twins not being hit consistently despite lengthening the combo; ex tatsu, even after 2xcrHP in one combo, Yun did not stand up for the ex shunpu at the end (happened in arcades as well as xbox) so I’m happy for consistency sake
This wasn’t mentioned in the announcement or by other translators but they seem to be buffing her EX Hadouken damage as well (Level 1 from 100 to 120. Level 2 from 120 to 130.)

Sure, it’s good for consistency, but it’s in no way a buff when there are already ways around it which also net more damage.
Bringing me back to my point which is that Sakura is, in practice, completely unchanged.

If you time cl.hp correctly you will get far hp if they backdash, which punishes them for it, but if they stay you will get cl.hp.
