Nah. Cammy isn’t exactly the easiest character for ‘bandwagoners’ to just pick up (thank god).
I was actually really worried about this. I was telling my friend that I hope Sako loses so people don’t all flock to her. If nothing else people are going to be paying a lot more attention to her matchups and exposing her, which my selfish self doesn’t like lol.
It kind of occurred to me that the difficulty of a character to pick up is a big factor, too; I mean looking at Ryu it’s easy to win matches early on with him early on so people stick with him, it may not all be Daigo wannabes. I mean even considering Rufus’ success at tournaments I still don’t find many on PSN.
Yeah, I believe that will continue to be Cammy’s saving grace even if she does win more and gets more publicity, as Rufus has already had quite a bit of success and publicity and yet I VERY rarely run into him online and Cammy’s arguably even more difficult to run correctly then Rufus (his dive kicks are much easier to perform and perform safely).
Overall though, while I dislike the mirror match and do enjoy playing as a less picked character, I’d be willing to accept her being played a little more often if it meant more high level videos of her winning to study and learn from. I enjoy discovering things myself, but I also greatly enjoy learning from others and there’s always been kind of a lack of videos of Cammy beating truly high level opponents to study (at least compared to some of the more popular characters).
I don’t think SSF4 trend players will be uploading any high level videos of any character. If you want to see people win we’ll just have to support players like James Chen, Aulord, Alioune and others to win tournaments and release high level videos everyone can learn from.
chill out yall. I was worried about scrubs switching to cammy in this Sako era but she is no scrub friendly. they can try and try… only those with real good execution will stay Cammy. I mean, she´s no Zangief or Ryu. :bgrin:

lol no zangief?? Does everyone really think zangief is an easy character still?? I thought only random scrubs thought that O_O. Ever played the game sagat’s gauntlet with zangief? its real fun.
just an example, don’t take it too hard. Cammy plays very different that zangief.
I might pick Cammy up as an alt, it has nothing to do with Sako, I’ve never seen him play. And what’s so hard about Cammy? She maybe has a few tight links and instant air dive kick. Also, he game play style pretty linear rush down. She’s not Balrog easy, but she sure isn’t hard.

I was a viper main too, trust me if you can do FFF consistently and all of vipers tricks you’ll have an easy time with the exaction that Cammy needs to be played halfway decent.

After a day (and by a day I mean a couple hours) of getting down TKCS, I found them to be pretty easy, instant or otherwise. I’ve had much harder time doing the first combo I saw by Sako which knocked my socks off, much less in an actual match. But yeah, being good with Cammy: not easy.

Good shit Sako…I like how after 6 wins he was trying to get cute and Mochi was like AWWW hell no…then sako got cute whilst dropping matches. Good set, I love to see runaway characters get bodied.
