its pretty clear to see I have a completely different playstyle and skill level when on the pad (the ken video above) and the custom fightstick (the rest of the fights) Im going to keep working on the fight stick and hope to be just as silly on both.

What a horrible Akuma, turbo’d out of that dizzy perhaps? That’s why you always use a FA3 if you’re going for a FA (and don’t forget to dash afterwards!). If you come across those pussy Akumas again, don’t jump if you see him jump and just dash forward under those air Hadoukens. Push them into the corner and wait for the teleport out to punish.
Remember c.HP/s.HP/s.MP xx HK Dankuu for your best punish. Don’t know why you FADC’d an EX Kouryuken either, should have done it after the second hit but would have been better to FADC a regular HP Kouryuken.

For the record, EX Koryuken is a good idea if the Akuma is going for a meaty Shoryu. One of Akuma’s mixups are f-throw, dash, Empty Demon Flip, Meaty Shoryuken.

and as for tak playing dan… thats what I was saying before about sanford. I dont count GREAT PLAYERS who win with dan because they know SF4 in the same light as i count mediocre players who main dan. any pro player can pick up dan and beat the crap out of our best dans like Xiahou mao… but that dosent count because they are winning without swagger

I understand about good players who randomly pick Dan to taunt us lesser players who main Dan (or sub-main :P) but Sanford is serious about his Dan. I’d say Dan is his secondary much the same way he’s my secondary (behind Sakura) but doesn’t mean I don’t take him seriously and I still use him lots :tup:
I’m looking for a secondary, tried Gen and Fei, think I’ll give Sakura a shot. Any tips?
I don’t really enjoy Abel any more and Gouken is just damn weird. Charge characters are YAWN inducing, the serious Shotos just don’t sit well with me.

Sakura and Dan go hand-in-hand, not because they play similar (because they don’t :P) but they’re both fun characters.
Sakura’s a bit more versitile than Dan, she revolves around link combos and her EX Shunpuu resets/mix-ups. Like Dan she’s pretty much a rush-down character, can’t really do anything from afar.
Gen’s too technical for me, and I can’t really get used to how Fei works, can’t even get his triple Rekka out reliably I like Seth for his cool combos but his extremely low health is a pain to get around since my defense sucks ass and a spammy Fa…Sagat only needs to get lucky twice to win. Cammy’s fun but you need to be good at instant Cannon Strikes if you want to be serious with her. I also like using Rose, just for the Shamwow :tup: If you like joke characters then Rufus might be good to pick up, he’s like Dan only a lot more competitive and lacking Saikyo
Still you don’t need to pick a secondary now, with SSF4 around the corner you can wait and see if one of those new characteres is more to your liking. I’m definately going to try and pickup Juri, she’ll probably take Seth’s spot on my list

You have Ryu set to Japanese but Dan on English? I don’t understand the logic Missed the Air Taunt over his Ultra, very disappointed Tip to help against Tatsu spammers, can simply punch them in the nuts with c.MP. It’s the easiest most damaging punish (c.HP is too slow), the best thing would be to do a well timed HP Kouryuken whilst still crouching (DF D DF shortcut) but that’s a bit tricky.
