i rarely use that link even on training mode, and i wrote my post quick and from just top of my head
one of my favorite counter hit set ups is cr short, st mk, cr jab xx uppercut.
I doubt they would, its been their since Vannilla they’ve had enough time to fix it, and simply decided against it or its there for a reason I think… Who knows what Capcom’s QA team think.
Anyways I will agree about the ‘fixing’ of Ultra 1 on certain characters where like Rose the last hits will completely whiff or like deejay/Sagat where the last hits show up on the screen but the opponent falls out of the ultra allowing the opponent to whiff punish your hit confirm… yeh you hit confirm into fadc ultra and you get punished for it…

Still don’t know how to use the new “buff” in v2012… Can someone enlighten me?
It’s not a buff it just makes it so it’s easier to do certain combos. More like a fix if anything.
What I’ve noticed:
Sagat’s tiger knees have a different hit box on the first hit. His 2 hit safe strings on crouching opponents don’t work anymore. I’ve found some other ones, but they are frame traps, not block strings.
What have others noticed?
i still rather use ex tiger uppercut than angry scar, to be honest…

cr.mp seems to counter hit better i guess… solid wall, but its not as good as yang’s palm lol
its a just a better crouchin defense poke, feels like they made just that normal better i guess.
lol be nice to see the hit box of cr.mp of 2012 compare to the previous AE though.
but other than that, fundamentally sagat seems to be the same to me. the changes hasn’t really alter his play style.

Can already feel the difference in the few scrub twins I’ve played. They no longer want to build easy meter and actually have to fight.
I noticed Sagat’s TK hitbox is a bit…smaller.
Agreed, sagat’s super is useless.
And with the short cut inputs, I hate doing normal tiger knee and then all of sudden. Super is executed. Ruins my life.
If u have full super, best invest 1 stock into angry scar.
Sagat’s combos that uses all meter is not worth it for sure.
But I’m not gonna go outta my way to combo or punish with angry scar in a real fight.
Lk super punishes everything wtf you taking bout. There are better uses for meter but to say its useless whaaaaa??
You think too small. His dash should also be as good as Makoto’s and have 8 hits of super armor and not be breakable. You know what else he needs? a dive kick with no height restriction. AND his standing roundhouse should cause a focus crumple have 1 frame of startup and he needs a 0 frame completely safe teleport. and he needs a wall dive, and all of his hurt boxes should be removed. And If you somehow manage to lose a round with sagat. he should still get the V counted torward him. I mean they call him king for a reason right? OH and he should be able to parry like 3s and his taunt should make the opposing character lose all of their meter for the remainder of the round.
they actually need to revamp his juggle system and give him V-ism custom combos so he can juggle people to death after one unblockable.
Sagat’s lk super is a 1 frame move. If it’s stocked up toward the end of a fight, where the opponent has 20% life left, it’s way better to punish ANYTHING than hope you can connect an angry scar TU FADC. To give you an idea, here are a list of Fei Long’s moves that you can punish on block (this isn’t post 2012, but I’m sure that none of these moves got any more frame advantage).

crouching hard punch
crouching medium kick

His overhead kick
Forward Hard kick
Any of his rekkas except for the first hit on EX Rekka

That meter should be invested everywhere else but the Super.
One frame or not, Sagat’s super is Useless.

It’s pretty expensive and ur mashin must be on point.
Don’t be played out by a solid player’s footsie though.
It’s 1 frame start up, but then 3 frames active.

and if its a sagat mirror match then the person who picked him first gets him the other person has to pick one of the 324322343 shotos in the game. and if they both pick sagat simultaneously then the game should explode
bs I have punished bad jaguar kicks safe jumps ect with it in tourny. I dont go into the match trying to save up and use it but if its there its a useful tool just like anything else. like i said before you can use your meter in alot of different ways thats better but to say its useless is wrong. There is a use and thats to punish badly spaced moves in a critical time if needed…
