I just try to make sure I do the cancel as fast as possible so that Dan’s body hasn’t fallen much by the time I want to input the fwd.RH.
Im sorry I can do everythin else every other combo except the Fake kick I hate it any tips on that?
Look at this:
if you dont have a stick you can try the jump and do it while you land technique. i forget exactly what your supposed to do but its essential rh right before you land, i think you just do 2 as fast as you can right before you land but maybe someone else can clarify. i know it can work though, if not consistantly
For the fake kick on a controller, I set RH to the RB and double tapped it, works really easily
I finally did it. Invicible Tiger!!! Thanks to everyone who gave information about the challenge – specifically about TH4. That was the showstopper for me. The white flash AFTER the yellow flash was the key.
After reading this, finally managed to beat HT4, thanks!
sigh I always get stuck for ages on all the characters’ Normal Trial 4. They’re usually 4-5 links ending in a super/ultra. Having trouble with TU’s from crouching position. I try using the df, d, df motion but mostly nothing happens. Then sometimes I luck out and get the entire sequence right and go to next trial.
It’s like you feel inspired by some awesome youtube sagat video, hit trial mode and expect to beast your way through, then hit a dead end and want to smash the stick through your window…
Actually that is quite easy with Sagat: Remember you can crouch with df. Then simply tap: df, punch and the TU comes out :china:
If you do something like crouching medium punch into TU you could use: df, mp, df, hp.
also having trouble w/ fake kick from TH1. Hit hk repeatedly, but still nothing. tried step kick w/ Focus cancel as well. Also related, when I focus cancel out of TU ( i think I do it too slow) the guy is already on the ground while i am still focusing. do you have to go right into the ultra/knee before you see the focus start?
Fake kicking from a jump-in is easier. Hold the controller via ‘claw’ grip, as you have to tap HK rather quickly (assuming you have a fight-pad). All in all, a lot of these moves are dependent on split-second input, and unless you practice timing them perfectly - to the frame - you’ll never really have use for them, as they’d be too risky to attempt ‘in the heat of battle.’
I’m not sure why Capcom didn’t include the dash input after some of the focus attack stunners. It’s weird, because, there’s no way you can land the hits unless you dash. I mean why make it impossible when it’s already ‘that’ hard?
TH4 is killing me right now, this is the second time i’m doin the trials on a new xbox and i just can’t get the c.mp after the FADC (i don’t have a problem nailing the crumple)… it just seems to whiff almost every time for me, even out of the corner… when i do connect it, i’m so surprised that either i don’t follow up, or i accidentally do a low tiger shot/tiger genocide, lol (i’m using the analog stick on a reg. controller cuz the d-pad is terrible on xbox)
:tdown:Learn stick for the love of god:pray:
GET OFF THE TRAINING WHEELS:coffee:
THX YOU REMINDED ME TO PRACTICE THAT MOVE…
Well I finally caved and started using Sagat, so I felt like doing his trials.
Fake HK is a dumb move, I don’t see it being used practically in a game. But to do this I just used 2 fingers. Slapped one on the outside of my button really fast and followed up with my 2nd finger really fast. Basically touching the button at the same time but not quite. Kinda make a piece sign and slide it across at a downwards angle.
TH4 was a bitch, but the advice helped. Also I thought using a HK TS would be better for damage, but that makes this combo more difficult, so do a light one instead because it’s slower. Stand back a bit and just do cr.mk xx lk.TS. FA immediately after you throw it but hold it for a split second to get the LVL2 FA. After that connects dash forward and crouch. Hit cr.mp xx tiger knee. Apparently if you crouch right away and hit MP, you’ll whiff, so you want to delay your MP, from what I saw in the video.
TH5 is over 9,000% easier than TH4. Just jump straight up, hit HK, cr.lk, cr.mp + lp (for ease of use of next move) and then use mp+lp again for the EX DP then Ultra. The EX DP will probably hit less than full amount, but that makes it easier to ultra after ward. It’s actually best not to do this in the corner. That’s why I suggest just going up to Dan right at the start and doing what I just wrote until you get it.
Sagats hard trail modes were the easiest ive done out of sagat, guile, able, ryu, and ken. i say the hardest is Able’s T5.

Thx for that video Supaflyyyyy, was looking for it everywhere xD.
Is there a non-obvious trick to trial 24? Thanks to the negative edge inputs, the trial is ridiculously hard with c.LP ? hard TU; if I make the TU in time to combo with the c.LP, it almost always comes out as a light TU, or EX TU. When I get hard TU, it’s too slow, and Dan blocks. From the above video, it looks like I’m doing what I’m supposed to, but it will probably take thousands more attempts to get it that way. This combo makes my hands and forearms hurt (lots of finger gymnastics because of a mix of L/M/H/FADC/Ultra inputs), so brute forcing it is not very tempting.
