Its probably because hes in a better position framewise that way.If you block high u have less blockstun than blocking low.
Man watching RF really helped me step up my poking footsie game with sagat. I realised that far standing mk is actually ridiculously good
Alot of Sagat’s buttons are ridiculously good actually. He can reliably counter poke virtually every char in the game.

I find this more and more as I get better with Sagat. I realise suddenly half way through a round I haven’t launched a Tiger Shot yet… 
That might not be a good thing. Tiger shot is his best full screen poke.
Of course full screen. But mid to close, I find Sagat can compete well with smart use of TK.
Obviously I’m talking only against certain characters though.
Hey guys, I’m trying to learn Sagat’s kara tiger shots. Can someone just confirm for me that these are only really feasible after blocked tiger shots from 3/4 screen or more, because it seems like you don’t have the time to bust out a f.HK at close range or when your tiger shot is met midscreen by one of your opponents projectiles?
Can someone literally teach me to understand how to play as Sagat? I can’t play well with him, and would like to get better.
You can do the lk version (non option select) from any range.
Yeah, I’m having a lot of problems doing that version though. I always seem to get a kara TK or TU instead. Any tips?
I do :f: then :lk:,neutral as quick as possible, then take a little time going into :qcf::hp:.

yes its an option select because it can only be done with a previous TS on the screen…
the lk version can option select the same way, BUT can also kara shoot without another shot present.
Which are the strongest SSF4AE sagat players? I was looking for Ojisan and Mago videos but I could only find videos from vanilla.
