What is the blocks tring for 3Frame-Reversal-SRKers?
Like when you jmp into Ryus and start mashing c.lk string, they just reversal SRK you out of it, yes I can block, but he random SRK so I got thrown
What better block strings against Block-for-reversal situations?
Just got the game yesterday and have decided to main Sagat. Been practising with him but my playstyle feels way too defensive when using him. I basically spam low and high tiger shots and s.hk them if they try and jump in.
I’ve perfected the f+lk xx h.TK and use it occasionally at mid-long range. the thing has mad range. I can barely ever land his tiger uppercut even when i lure them in with tiger shots. I like to keep my distance cause i get screwed over when they get close. My game pretty much consists of tiger shots, hadoukens, s.hk, j.hk, and h.TK.
So how exactly am i suppose to use him and what should i do when they get too close besides jumping away and spamming more tiger shots? Also wondering why shoud i do a l.TK over a h.TK? The heavy has so much more range. And his heavy tiger uppercut gets him up higher too. also i have no idea wat all this FADC talk is about. how do u implement it effectively? srry if i got any of the notations wrong and for my noobiness.
tiger uppercut > fadc > roundhouse > ultra is the most effective use, that said don’t be afraid to go for the roundhouse alone it still does pretty good damage.
I tend to use it after a focus crumple or on wake up, if it gets blocked then I try for a throw

standing roundhouse won’t combo in the air

Go to ‘challenge mode’ then do sagat’s trial. Those combos are the common ones used. When you can pull them off consistently, then you can ask more in-depth questions.
any good range combo starter that deals massive damage but doesnt require a jump in?

they can jump over you and punish every time even at point blank range

So yh I’ve been maining Sagat for a while now, and have made a LOT of progress. The TU>>FADC>>f+HK>>Ultra is as easy as pie now (I only get the occasional whiff) and I know how, when and where to use it. There’s just one niggling thing.
The cLK xx cLK xx cLP xx TU BnB combo… the TU just does NOT come out at the end of the links for me for some inexplicable reason. It either come out late, or just does not come out at all. I’ve spent hours in the training room trying to perfect it but I can only get it out like 30% of the time, and thats on a good day.
If its any help I use the 360 controller thumbstick. I’m extremely comfortable with as I have a stick, but I’m just more efficient and co-ordinated with a controller in my palm. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated.
Have you tried utilising shortcuts?
As you do your BnB combo hold :df:. When it’s time to do the TU just move back to :d: then :df:.
It’s just like a charge move. It saves a lot of time.

mini-tip: if gief focus attacks with a level 1, is blocked, and backdashes, the only way to punish is EX tiger knee.
dunno about other people’s focus attacks.
Quick question, does Ryu’s jump in w/ j.hk and j.mk have priority over s.hk? I have been eating them all day long from Ryu’s today.
Yep, j.MK generally tends to beat Sagat’s hard kicks, it’s generally best to stick with an uppercut, or land lucky fwd HKs.
