I just hate that with all the time and effort I put into Chun Li and only being decent, I could put the same time and effort into Sagat and probably rape a lot of people online.
It seems like anyone can play Sagat and it can still be a really irritating fight, where as with some of the cast you have to actually KNOW what you are doing to even stand a chance
I am a chun player as well. It’s not worth bitching about, step your game up and you can win it’s not an unwinnable match by any stretch of the imagination.
Also beating people online doesn’t really mean anything. That shouldn’t be your barometer 
Considering I wouldnt put quarters into a game I already spent 60 bucks on, online and offline with friends is all I got, and since none of my offline friends are any good at the game, the only thing that leaves is online

Sagat isn’t very overpowered imo, i think a large contributer to these discussions are the tier lists which show sagat quite far in the lead. It’s worth noting that sagat was last i checked 9-1 against sakura, that’s a huge boost to his overall score and displays a stupidly large advantage, if that was more like 6-4 he wouldn’t appear so far in the lead.
Which then leads me to the question, does sakura need her moves buffed up a bit to be at less of a disadvantage against sagat? Maybe that would level out the overall tier scores a bit and quell some of these discussions.

As a Chun-Li player myself aswell, Sagat needs to hit 7 Strong hits to beat me. Although I find some sagat’s attacks to be a little too much on the priority, he seems to be hard to master to be “Good” in terms of skill. Since he is easy to use, its one of the 2 characters that many people use to counter pick.
Yes I hate fighting against sagat, and more if the person can’t play properly. Since 7 hit is all they need to do to beat me. I only saw 1, yes 1 sagat who I felt totaly destroyed and couldn’t do anything about it. He had 10k bp, and he is one of the few players who I thought he surely earned them the hard way. (no cheating)
that list is from a wiki anyone can edit it and when someone grabbed that chart some idiot decided to make sakura about 500 tiers below where she stands (around lowish mid)

Sagat is overrated. I play with Fei Long, Bison, and C. Viper, and once you figure him out, it’s easy picking. Although it is more likely that I could lose to a less-skilled Sagat player, he is not that tough. The only thing he really has going for him is the fact that he is only on of 2 characters that have an ultra in which every hit has a vaccum-effect. Rufus is the other character.
