Great combo, but wouldn’t this whiff against certain opponents with smaller hitboxes, as well as being affected by distance, or has that been changed? My BnB vs. some characters is cr.lk>cr.lk>cr.mp>HP TU, but this is a guaranteed whiff vs. Ryu, so I wonder how this combo would do against Ryu.

Does his angry scar work like viper siesmo cancel? I mean, could you crMP>Angry Scar>crMP>TU??

Either there aren’t enough frames or the second MP after AS will make TU whiff.

What’s the motion for AS

Judging from the video I think it’s either a reverse SRK, or reverse hadouken. I’m banking on backwards SRK punch since pad players usually do ‘Back>Down>Corner>Back’ for reverse shoryukens (front for normal).

I haven’t kept up with sagat changes in a while but angry scar is actually looking like a pretty decent move

i will test something else next time . St hk (counter hit) > angry scar > ultra on standing opponent

EX (AS) TU does huge damage

Personally though I’m not feeling having to waste 2 meters just to do huge damage with an uppercut. Plus if you whiff that uppercut you die and u can’t FADC it unless you have FULL METER. :lol: I guess the damage will be solid in combos at least.

I’m looking for the most damaging combo that requires no more than one EX meter wasted. ** Basically the highest damage u can do if u just use one Angry Scar and no FADC. With Viper I prided myself in high damage while using the least amount of meter possible. Especially since she was the only character in the game that could FADC without using meter.

The one thing that I do see that’s nice about Angry Scar is that since it allows him to cancel the recovery of his normals it will allow him to add more hits and stun in his combos. So Sagat stunning people could be a bigger factor in Super now that he can lengthen his BnB’s with Angry Scar.

I hope it’s a super motion so the scrubs won’t bother with it mid combo.

Honestly I’d bet 99% of SF4 couldn’t combo supers to save their lives in ST or Alpha.

Is AS cancelable from TS? (do it like a regular SC cancel)
e.g. TSxxAS TS instead of TS FADC AS TS

Could you tell me if f+hk > angry scar > hp TU works? And by extension I’d assume trade uppercut into f+hk > AS > TU would work as well, and in situations where f+hk would whiff after the trade maybe just go right into AS > TU. It’d be nice if you could verify.

Not sure if this has been discussed already, but if Angry Scar works in a similar fashion to Dan’s super taunt (in the aspect that it slows down time) will Sagat be able to AS, see a normal coming and do a reaction ultra? Granted its not extremely practical, just curious if its possible.
