people are going to complain if he doesnt
This post made my day. Top-tiering is a smart strategy. Why tire with a lower tier character when you can put that same effort into a high tier character. Here comes Dudley (and Sagat as sub).
Yeah forget the 35 character cast, everybody should only play Sagat mirrors since they’re fun to play and watch and really exhibit a great degree of skill from both players. Also shows how good Capcom is at balancing a game where people pick top-tiers to exploit imbalanced strengths. Damn, everybody what are you thinking playing any other character aside from Sagat? He’s the only character that matters and MAKES ANY SENSE to play.
I mean, it’s not my fault that the character I picked can trade a DP that SHOULD be invincible, and then combo into ultra from there FTW. I mean, it’s not like that broken mechanic is what makes my character top anyway…
Relax son. Not that serious. And from a logical stand point you can’t argue it really. If you wanna see results, put the work in with a good tool.
Yeah well just because fire can be made in more than one way doesn’t mean you should always use a flamethrower, and even a monkey can use a rock to crack nuts. and John Henry beat the machine.
Huh? Are we still talking about unblockables?
If I need to start a fire, and I have an option between a flame thrower and two sticks… I’m choosing the flame thrower.
I can’t wait to see who is considered OP in SSFIV. It won’t stop people from complaining about Sagat, but it will shift some focus. I’m keeping him in top 5 though, he was nerfed… but so was everyone else. The most powerful ultras seem to be from non-projectile characters, so they will have to spend the whole match being kept out.
No that this has anything to do with anything, but John Henry died beating the machine. And he was fictional. And Angry Scar looks totally fucking bad-ass.
I like how in fictional stories, the underdog always wins… but in real life, it is most frequently the opposite. I mean, the underdog sometimes wins, but it is going to be a long time until I bet against GSP in a fight.
It does if starting that fire the fastest earns you money.
Why do people keep calling angry scar an evasion tool? And he didn’t lose 50 HP. He lost 100.
Sagat will damn sure have more then one bad match-up in Super.
Because it caused a throw to whiff the first time it was ever shown from an earlier build, and people don’t care to read the fact it gets killed.
Edit: And apparently Sagat does have 1050hp, contrary to what most people think.
this is what they said. They didn’t say how it evaded, they just called it an evasion tool.
Oh, ok 1050 is good and what I thought it always should have been. Ok, that’s good. 1000 hp is nonsense for Sagat IMO. But as far as I can tell AS is a super type move and as such it probably has a frame or 2 of invincibility, but calling at an evasion tool seems ridiculous.
That’s my guess too. We’ll have to wait for the frame data to see though.

But guuuuuys! Marn already confirmed that T. Hawk sucks! Don’t you know his words will dictate on who I use?!
I guess with that invincibility on AS…it can be used to go through a properly time move…only getting the timing on the bastard would seem to work with psyhic-mind reading.

If angry scar has no recovery frames or at least just 1 recovery frame, I can see a whole load of shenanigans from it.
