Clearly that combo is all for show/fun. I like to do a very similar version and of course the damage for it is pure garbage.
j.hp>c.lk,c.lp,c.lp>LTS>FADC>c.lk,c.lp,lp>hpTU>FADC>f.HK>Ultra
For the best damage and ease of use combo I use…
j.hp,mp,TU if I have meter of course I use the fadc>f.hk>ultra here
I put a nice little Sagat combo on
These were the inputs…
j.hp, c.lk,c.lp, LTS, FADC, c.lk,c.mp, TU, FADC, f.hk, Ultra
I like to attempt j.hp c.hp,c.lp>TU
The damage on this is sick! It appears there is a 1-2 frame window for connecting the c.hp>c.lp Trust me you can do it, just pay close attention to whatever works best for you. Audio, visual etcc…
Hmmm, I never thought of c.lp>c.hp I’m going to check this out. Thanks!
If I can do j.hp c.hp,c.lp,c.hp(insert here if something links) that would be retarded
think that is the highest damaging combo for Sagat. I’ll play with a few of them soon and post a vid of the highest damaging combo. If I can land j.hp,c.hp>TU>FADC>f.hk>Ultra then I’m sure this would be the most damaging. I know it’s going to be something similar to this for the highest damage. I’ll fill you in. Oh yeah, I’ll see how the damage changes with an exTU>Ultra at the end.
Cool, thanks for clearing that up Haze. I have never tried c.lp>c.hp. It didn’t sound right but hey neither does c.hp>c.lp and that definitely works.
Soon drian, my lk is stickin on me pretty bad and I am trying to find a way to fix it. Ahh whatever, I’ll deal with it. Let’s play next time we see each other on. Heads up, if I have to leave and we didn’t get that many games in we’ll play where we left off. I have a daughter, wifey etc
After fooling around with some of the combos tonight either I’m just a little off or c.hp>c.lp does not connect and only hp>c.lp connects? Yeah, that’s a question and a statement
Hmm, maybe it is. I feel like I can link the standing HP to crouching LP much easier than I can crouch HP to crouch LP. Perhaps it was because of the character.
that combo is painfully slow for how close up you need to be to do it. I don’t know how practical c.hp c.lp is but are there any matchups where it’s particularly useful?
Counter hit cr. HP, HP Tiger Uppercut, FADC, F+RH, Ultra is 708.
And if you just take your combo, but start with counter hit j. HP, it’s 730. I don’t know if you count counter hit combos though, but those are the highest numbers I’ve seen.
Oh, another combo I was playing around with yesterday, I don’t know how useful it is this:
Cr. LK, st. LP, st. RH
The links aren’t too hard, but you don’t get a knockdown and it only leaves you at +1, which isn’t that helpful. But it’s there.
Thanks for the input Tofu. I usually don’t know I received a counter hit until it’s too late. It’s almost like not hit confirming for me so that 708 one is impractical. Maybe that is because of my inexperience or maybe not. I would venture to say that the 730damage combo isn’t legit. I’ll test it out though and see.
For the most practical damaging combo online I have been using… (great for whiffed attacks)
MP>TU>FADC>f.hk>Ultra
MP>exTU>Ultra
MP>TU>FADC>f.hk>exTS <–use this if you don’t have an Ultra ready.
MP>TU <— use this if you don’t have any meter at all.
I tend to use crouching medium kick into those combos, I think it does more damage, and I’ve never had a problem hitting them properly or hit confirming.
and I’d say only use the mp, tu, fadc, f.hk, exTS if you are going to kill the opponent right then and there. always good to have meter with sagat. ex knee gets you out of corners, and 2 meters lands an ultra off anything. Even if you don’t know how to fadc properly, having ultra and 2 meters will make most people play you more conservatively and throw you less as well. Thanks for the good info though.
