iirc(stated earlier in this thread) he played akimo a few times at TRF tourney(i think it was the first one he joined) and at first he lost but then later he came up with some anti-akimo strat, fought him again the next week and he’s been winning since. I also think he already talked about akimo in previous posts.
Sabin talked about Akimo back around the 150th reply or so. He played him in one of the TRF and got beat pretty badly.

Sagat dominates Honda while for Akuma is a slight advantage if not an even match up.
Sagat dominates Zangief(7/3) while Akuma has a 6/4 advantage
Basically, it’s not a matter of Sagat beating more people than Akuma does(even though he does), but rather how badly Sagat beats them. Outside of Abel, there is probably no character in the game who would rather fight Sagat than Akuma.
I can see Akuma being better than Ryu because some characters would rather fight Ryu. Ken comes to mind(in my opinon anyway), Abel, Dhalsim, etc.
EDIT: Oh yeah Rufus. Sagat beats Rufus. That’s an even match with Akuma. Same thing with Balrog.

I’d ask something about Dictator as well (seems like everybody wants a piece of him) but it just seems like the shallowness of the character pretty much limit his potential. From what I’ve gathered, all it comes down to is better reaction skills/prediction/reading/risk taking. Correct?
