Least pop char in arcades is Claw, I think. Then Sim.
Most pop are Ryu and Sagat.
And in JP tournies, you have to stick to one character, so if he’s gonna ever beat a rufus in tourney, it’s gonna have to be with Sim, and running to another character won’t do any good.

Gief-Sagat is more of a 4/6 match in Japan these days, Akuma is arguably worse. If the Gief has good reactions he can scare Sagat with the threat of EX green hand, while Akuma always has the option of running away.
Man after watching ItaZang and MahouZangitan play against Sagat…it’s like watching 5-5 matches. Even the Shiozawa Cup where Aloha wrecked fLoE with time to taunt I was like, “Zangief with no fear is scary as fuck”

I know you’re crazy busy and shit, but over on the Dhalsim sub-forum we’re talking about how stupid hard the Chun-Li match-up is. I started posting a little analysis of your set against Omari (just a bit about how you focus-fish for jump-ins, something that not alot of us do), but I think the Sim players in the house would really appreciate if you’d quickly chime in on what you’re thinking when you play a solid Chun.

I don’t really know where people are getting the idea that Zangief-Sagat is not that bad anymore. If you’re going by Itabashi Zangief’s streak of wins against Sagat, keep in mind that Itabashi is probably just better than those guys.
I think the matchup would still be show to be 7-3 if Itabashi had to fight Mago a bunch of times.
It’s in the same way how Daigo can make the Ryu-Sagat fight look dead even (or even in Ryu’s favor) but at the highest level of play, even he admits it’s 4-6 Sagat.
I don’t even think it’s fair to say Akuma is a worse match for Gief, either. Akuma can’t really Gief out better than Sagat can, and when Akuma starts getting hit, it’s seriously over. Sagat players can eat so much shit, and still win the round.
I’m not really gonna believe any changes on Zangief’s matches until I see a new matchup chart from Japan. I don’t mean to be a JP Dicksucker but we just don’t know Zangief like they do. I wouldn’t have trouble believing it if Zangief-Sagat came back as 6.5-3.5 Sagat (really fucking hard…more winnable than was thought) though.

I’m shit at SF4 but I will be going to the 3 on 3 at a-cho with Azrael and Sabin. They will be picking me up off the floor after my Honda gets owned lol. If I can’t go I think HeartNana or someone else will be on the team. Desora said he may come to the tournament but he’s not sure since he has other plans as well. He said if he comes he will definitely play Sabin’s Sim.

OH!!! I found the main arcade where all the osaka bigdogs play it.
It was great to meet oriku randomly yesterday too. Very nice classy guy.
He was nice enough to record my matches vs Uryo. 
I only played him 2 games, I lost both, first game I got smoked 2nd game was close but i messed up some clutch stuff (as usual) and lost in a close match.) oriku played him too, got scraped first round, 2nd round adapted but missed some clutch stuff and still lost. Really humble guyu, oriku isnt as bad as he says he is.
He went on 15 or so wins before he lost to a Chun and bounced.
But yeah, all the other grandmasters were in the same place.
Grandmaster Blanka (over 100K BP,) grandmaster Rufus (again, over 100K BP). Uryo had 150K BP as well. KOG, Cantona (2 master giefs 80K BP) among many many others. the grandmaster blanka was really insane, did some shit ive never seen before. at least it was new to me.
They were all quite good. I recorded some vids of them vs each other, not so much of me vs them cause i dont have a tripod.
Speaking of which, Reno, Az, Heartnana, do you guys have a tripod that you could let me hold down for a few weeks This isnt my camera (it belongs to Gunter and Kim1234 kicked down,) so i dont want to buy a tripod for a camera i dont own lol.
