Mago’s team won the latest Nagoya Street Battle(NSB) - he teamed up with nemo and i dont know how its really pronounced but imma go with hebihime(snake princess lol)…
He’s going to Nagano afterwards with tokido and he’s somehow assessing him to be his partner for the future Japan Nationals Team Tourney (the last one was singles)… although he prefers nemo if he’s available. I’m not sure about the date but ive heard that its gonna happen soon (the nationals tourney)…
Anyone knows if the A-Cho tourney will be streamed?

tokido and mago are coming quiet often to yokohama 7 island lately.
i see him atleast 3 times a week for last 3 weeks.
he is playing a lot honda(starting still few fight on his card) and some abel too.
at least he is not acting like a robot and speak with other player(much more than umehara)…
lately mood is quiet good in 7 island, just like shibuya, once they see you as regular, players are more open than what it seems.
Wtf? Mago’s playing SF4 Honda? This ain’t CvS2… Wonder if his playstyle will work with Honda since he’s waaay different in this game than any other.
I’m pretty sure Aojiru Guile has more games than anyone else. At least he did back in the end of July/August. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s getting close to 15,000 games played.

That wouldn’t be that bad if it didn’t cost money… I have ~1500 matches on XBL for BlazBlue over the course of just a month and a half (quit online last month), and SF4 has been out in Japanese arcades for what, 14 months or so now?

What is the point of teams? Won’t the one best player simply win? For example, me and Daigo would be one of the best teams in the world just because Daigo can beat everyone. Am I missing something?

plus in japan there are no ONE best player that beats everyone for free (except maybe for mago but even he’s beatable).

well its not as simple as that obviously. plus aint it obvious that the best player is going to win but the best player can be anyone. a lot of things matter like their mindset, sometimes they get distracted/pressured etc.

there’s no one god player who’s above everyone else all the time and is unbeatable.
there’re a lot of pro players here, they all stand a chance against each other, and there’s also matchup issues. teams basically let you strategize who to go first, to scout the opponent ability etc teams also let you cover up for your bad matchup lets say you’re an abel player, so to prepare in case you’re gonna fight a team with a gief, at least you have someone else in your team that can take on gief and so on.
