i feel its kinda even. this is one of the few matches where sim can rush down on the ground. I try not to antiair vega too much since his jumpins are strong (unless he is over my head, then I can b. strong him. EX upflame as usual is good against ambiguous wall dive setups. Never do jump back fierce as a instant overhead unless he loses his charge, youll get walldived for free and the trade isnt worth it.
The thing that I worry about the most when playing vega is his df. rh. Spaced properly it owns crouch techingā¦and vega has fast walk speed so this is a useful tool for him period. So I gotta watch out for this poke, but he can mix it up with his kara throw which will force me to crouch tech.

Sagat is not overrated, hes too fucking good sometimes and top Japanese Sagats piss me the hell off to even play since they abuse the cheap stuff. That being said, at this point Iād rather fight Sagat over fighting Goukiā¦or any of Simās counter characters, haha. He is too good, but his worst matchup is easily vs Gouki. (which is something Iām happy about, cause Sagat NEEDS more bad matchups like the rest of the cast.)
from playing Sanfords Gouken before I left for Japan, I think Gouken has advantage over sim but my matchup knowledge is getting fuzzy since Iāve been in Japan for a little over a month now.

- Because of 1-3 a divide formed, and theres a lot of hate on both sides. OGās feel new school players talk too much shit (esp on youtube lol) and new school players think top players are elitist fucks. Itās a vicious cycle that I hope stops someday but might not because of American culture maybeā¦

Yes, but I donāt want to write a few paragraphs about it now. Watch the last few weeks of TRF (specifically NicoNicoMark) if you want to learn more about how Japanese guiles play different from Americas. In general though it comes down to better decision making and better spacing.

And lots of cigarettes lol, packs are $3 box USD and you can smoke in arcades so yeah. its generally frowned to eat inside a arcade but yeah you can drink here no problem, since they all have vending machines. Theres no food courts in the arcades though unless they are āfamily friendlyā arcades. Those kind of places are typically casual arcades though. The last āfamily friendlyā arcade I went to was owned by Namco, and it was really nice - also had a gyoza restaurant owned by namco on the top floor heh.
As for my strategy vs Daigo, I canāt talk about this too much yet, cant explain why at this time though sorry. But I will say this, I pretty much thought he was shit the whole time regardless of his reputation. Refused to be scared just because heās āDaigoā. Still heās a amazing player and when playing him, its hard not to get mindfucked by some of the shit he does.
im less confident. what iyo says rings true, these matchups are tough as shit for him too. also ive lost the last 3 TRF tourneys to rufus. Straight up in those matchups Iād still rather use Seth and Iām going to practice my Ryu vs those 2 matchups specificallyā¦since its infinitely better than Sim vs those 2 characters. That doesnt mean I wonāt try to leanr the bad matchups as much as possible though, which is what Iāve been doing.
