team Let’s Go Justin! used to have a zangief instead of Art’s Dhalsim. After Art whooped one of their asses they say they didn’t know there was a Dhalsim on the team. They didn’t bring this up when they saw Dhalsim, but decided to complain after their loss and wanted a do over. So they got their way and made their anchor first and ocv the team.
I think it’s shady as hell this happened. Would it really matter? Did it mess up their game that much. I mean, weren’t you supposed to find out who you play that day anyways? They couldn’t change characters any ways so it’s not like they can counter-pick, but they sort of did by putting their anchor first and changing their line-up after a loss.
ricky beat their anchor, the gief player that marn beat the first time around ocved us, not the anchor.
See what I mean? it makes us look like we got ‘owned’ especially cause first replay was never uploaded. i dont mean to beat a dead horse but yea lol i need to start taking footages of my own matches, then upload only the ones where I win in Japan so I can make it seem like im godlike. lol im actually tired of only my losses getting uploaded though.

I mean really though, when it’s that far into a tournament and replaying a set because of a misunderstanding seems very drastic and biased because it’s unfair to one team to replay matches that they earned. If they said something like a re-do of one match, that would still seem quite weird but not as weird as making a whole team do it all again.

yo sabin, that akimo dude with the honda, is he up there in the national rankings cause he looked kinda dangerous with his honda. he played the patience game as good as you, but was even more effective and harder on the offense than you was. doesnt honda lose to sim in the tiers department?
He’s actually one of the top Honda’s, if not the best Honda.
i get hella taunted here after my 2ch infamy lol. like for example i walked into HEY in akiba today and i heard a lot of whispers about my name in the background but noone said shit to my face. lol. then when they playing me, theyre indead head and will taunt me left and right. it happened to me a lot at trf and it happened to me a lot tonight. lol h8h8h8 im sure. im stepping up my taunting game though. tonight i played a akuma user and we were both even at 5% life and we couldnt get in on each other…i yoga towered through his fireball and taunted and he did ex demon flip and i ex upflamed him lol

also i thought honda has a disadvantage against sim but he def doesnt. if you master hhs setups, know jumpin angles and just play smart (but patient) its 5-5. he can end the round anytime really

Sabin in your experience what’s the character representation like in Japan compared to the states? Is it more or less the same or do they focus more on certain chars that get less attention in the US (or vice versa)? From the vids there seem to be more Honda players over there, but thats about as much as I can tell.

You can choose whether you option select with lk or lp by staggering your input similar to a p link. If you go from lp~lk, you should get the throw break as well as the low punch, and the throw break comes out a frame later which is usually a plus in the great scheme of things. That helps depending on the height he is dive kicking.
Also while blocking and holding DB, an input of df, db, KKK+lp will option select a backwards teleport and throw break without standing, so you can do the teleport attempt late, still get a throw break, and not have to worry too much about the low kicks. Hopefully that helps a bit (at least in my head), I’m not a sim player .
If the rufus is doing dive kicks high though, maybe you could option select a slide forwards?
