Many US arcades had the game very short after it got released in japan.
The problem is, the US hasn’t got many arcades and people think they’re good if they win a fucking laggy g1 championship. In tokyo arcades are as common as mcdonalds in manhattan, that’s why the japanese will always be better at SF.

Yeah, I started in august at ctf so I had the “edge” or whatever. Yeah, I didn’t mention the american arcades that had the game early because I thought the point you made was relatively self evident. Of course we had it early, but we don’t need to go into a debate about arcade culture and the arcade scene in usa vs japan. I’m sure 1 arcade in Japan probably had as many cabs as our entire country combined

I don’t want anyone to misconstrue what I posted (then deleted but got put up again because of a quote) to be seen as me stroking jpn. Was just saying that the advantage they got off the start was substantial and although our top players could possibly overcome their disadvantage, it’s highly unlikely or at best, extremely irritating and a substantial road block on America’s path to sf glory.
