Daigo isn’t married, I asked one of his friends Aru. It’s a pretty good source considering that Daigo spoke at his wedding. He’s not sure if Daigo has a girlfriend, he said he’s really quiet about his private life.
I also asked him about Nuki, if he is really gay. He wouldn’t personally comment regarding his friend but he said some Japanese players think that he is.
I have some purikura photos I took with Daigo that I still need to put up online, I’ll scan them and upload them when I get back to the States. We took the photos with his friends after the BigBox 5on5, his big head kept on getting in front of my face at times much to the dismay of his friends. So they eventually made me stand up front LOL.

Interesting. I was one of those under the impression that Daigo was married. Some months before the release of SF4, Daigo gave an interview to Brian Ashcraft of Kotaku, that was published in Arcade Mania.
During this time he was “retired” and rumored to be married. I thought it was brought up in the interview, but upon rereading my copy, it is not there at all. I wonder how this got started then. I thought it was published somewhere, but I guess it’s one of those things.

Couldn’t akimo just empty jump to get in on you since tripguard’s still up? I mean it’s still a 50/50 guess whether you go high or low depending on instant overhead or c.fp but if you instant overhead, he gets guaranteed ex headbutt. The only problem I really have with Sim lately is his s.mp. Shit counter-hits splashes so fucking ridiculously clean it’s dumb. Nobody else’s standing normals can counter-hit splash like it.
Akimo bait out any teleports and punish with ex/fp headbutt or do you not use much teleport except to escape corner?
