Sabin, have you played any good chuns yet???
i was wondering how they approach the sim matchup… generally i play it 1 of 2 ways:
all the way across the screen, throwing kikokens to match sims fireballs and watch my spacing so sim cant fierce me out of startup… etc etc. and try to get a couple of meters so that when i get to mid range (easy to do) i threaten sim with ex hasan shu cause it goes through his pokes and if it hits its MAD damage versus sim… if it doesnt … i’m still in and have some guesses that can do damage…
so thats my turtle style… the other one is just all out buckwild offensive mixing up between hasan shus, focus attacks and jumpins…
once i’m close its generally over for sim, but its the getting there thats the hard part… do they try to hit your limbs or focus them at all…
how do the chuns play out there??? turtly like guile till they get an opening? or all out balls to the wall? do the chuns have any tricks versus sim that you havent seen amercan players use?
another thing is how do you feel this matchup is? 6-4 chun imho maybe even worse… i have no idea how to breakdown a turtling chun who has ultra… iat is easy to see poke on reaction, and overhead jump back fierce can be ultrad on hit…
i havent yet met a sim that has an answer for breaking down turtle chun (other than my own impatience)
so i was wondering what you do to combat this when sims main offensive tools are kept in check by chuns?

Yeah…I know Uryo goes to Mist II sometimes, and there’s a pretty good master class Balrog player who’s there frequently, but I dunno about anyone else. It seems like most of the top players go to Avion. The strongest Honda players go there, I’ve seen RF there a few times, Umezono, Shoji Kog, and some others. Its hard to tell though cause these guys seem to pop up everywhere.

Haneyama (Chun from the TRF videos posted above) is nuts. Guy doesn’t seem to lose.

I recommend you TRF beginner tornament, Sabin.
When you look at the comments on the videos, you can see the people are mostly bandwagoners lol. When Sabin was raping people early on, they’re all saying “omg, so good” but when he lost to Akimo they’re all like “go home American”
