yes, that is the one I play at. I usually only play VF though.
I am filming here != I am allowed to film here – I don’t know why people are bringing this “well random SRK dude A filmed here and it seemed okay” when I already stated that it’s generally not allowed, but it’s up to the property’s owner to decide whether or not to enforce it, and that it is a case of “if they say stop filming, you need to stop filming”
See, you’re not looking at the legalities of it, and why some arcades won’t let you do it. Consider this possible scenario: what if someone decided to make a Nuki/Nemo compilation DVD, taped all of their matches off-screen while they were playing in an arcade and sold it for profit without the consent of the arcade they filmed in or the players they filmed? Hell, we can take it to an extreme and say someone shot an all-lesbian threesome in Club Sega Shinjuku on top of a Tekken 6 machine without Club Sega’s consent.:wow: Sure, everyone would fucking love it, except for Club Sega, who would probably get into some major shit over it.
I could understand why arcade owners would be against filming. Some players may be uncomfortable with some random dude taping him playing, so he may feel compelled to leave. Bad for business.
Last time I was in Tokyo I was hanging out in HEY @ Hirose Gameyard. There are signs a plenty asking for no photography and videos. As far as I know the Arcade two shops up (Taito or Sega I cant remember >_<) didn’t allow it either.
I have an idea that could probably keep Sabin motivated and at the same time help out the community here.
As some people know, I live in Japan and I play SF4. Arturo is here for a couple of months and that guy is grinding HARD. I don’t take so much of my time to post up every single thing but I do have a good idea I wanna share with people here.
So I live in Japan, and I know most of the good players. What most of the american community doesn’t know are who the really good players are that aren’t well known. Be it be cause they don’t like to travel, or it actually really is a recreational hobby and not some obsessive thing. Whatever the reason, I think it would be awesome if these guys get some acknowledgment too. Everyone knows who the big boys are: Mago, Tokido, Daigo, Masatsugu, Etc. But I personally think, Japan has this group of other top players that are just SLIGHTLY below Mago, Tokido, etc.
Fortunately, I know some of these players and I wanna set up some sets with them vs Sabin. Just for kicks, heres a list of some of the players off the top of my head.
Theres a no card Ken at Big box that was a master before he lost his card. I’ve only met him once so I don’t know his name. There was a master ken player called Black Rabbit 2, who switched to Sagat like a champ. Those are all the ken players I can think of.
Yeah nobody picks Ken no more. Doesn’t help that Japan’s last tier list had him at the bottom. He’s been figured out over there and has to work too hard for his wins. He doesn’t beat any characters worth mentioning and loses to the top so there ain’t much reason to play him no more. Wait for SFIV Dash. The only people still using Ken are the ones that just generally like Ken as a character. He’s just another character lost in the struggle now.
What happened to Kuma Bison is what I want to know. Seems like Neorosis, Headpress, and TRF guy that starts with a Z(I forgot his name already) are the only 3 Bisons left. Oh, and of course, Kim.
