I have a very very new ryu(as in, only seriously putting in work for like 2 days or so. mostly trying to get muscle memory for combos at this stage), so go easy on me lol
overall Id say her weakness is similar to sf4 chun. mediocre vs fireballs and kinda bad anti airs. She also has hazanshu

First time I’ve saw her, looks like the rest of the characters- safe EX moves, punishable normals. I don’t like her fireball colour being that grey colour. Also not sure about those symbols, seems like overkill in the meter area although I realise other games do this.
I guess she’s not finished yet though right? Is this just a hacked PC version?
Seems that way. I tried switching up what I was doing so I can explore her options more. I jumped with lk like 3-4 times in a row and it seemed consistently good.

Seems like you weren’t getting much out of VT and probably would have been better off using it for a VR. b.HK, s.LP, m.Tatsu is good but be aware that finishing with h.DP does slightly more damage/stun and leads to the same meaty timing where you can use a dash to setup throw or s.MP. In neutral you could probably have used more s.LK as a counter poke. You’re too predictable with the throws and even interrupted several jump ins that connected to throw instead of finishing the combos. I hope you confirmed the super after the reversal DP because that’s just not good practice.
You basically lost the 2nd game by trying to push the initiative too much. Seems like you regrouped to your original strategy by the 3rd game of defend your zone by walking backwards, controlling space with buttons, and using well-timed jump ins.
Overall you could probably make a little more use of the projectile as an extended poke, work on getting more mileage out of your VT or substituting it with VR, and not rely on the reversal DP or throws game as much.
Brief things I noticed about the match and your game.
- Don’t DP the wall dives, jump back Mp is risk free ( Dp can whiff or get beat)
- The punish on the roll has to be done early, as soon as the last hit has connected input the Dp there straight away.
- Need way more LP fireball, Vega has a high jump arc and has trouble with a zone.
- After a forward throw you dashed in normal a lot, this doesn’t work and a good player will beat that with wake up buttons.
- You tech too much despite the opponent showing no threat of throws ( probably habit)
- Your normal use is pretty good
- Need more shimmys after a blocked jump in, do jump in block … Walk back cr.mp xx fireball.
- St.mp isnt a long term viable AA and will lose in a lot of matches.
Overall your play is decent but you need a bit more of the nuanced set ups to elevate. Shimmys, V-trigger set ups and spacing baits. Your play is linear but it’s very hard to tell on one set of matches.
Also don’t tech, try going a few matches without teching at all and see how it changes your defence. If anything push standing jab.
I would encourage all Ryu players instead of holding down back or tech, just hold back and walk out of the throw range. This is critical against shimmy characters like Chun, Karin, Ken etc

Wow . I can’t believe this peadophile lianghubbb is actually still using his tag and posting on srk, aswell as making YouTube videos .
Just for people that don’t know , a quick recap. my name is Cecil from a place called Hamburg in Germany, I used to be part of the scene there , while it was small , we tried to build it up as much as we could with what limited players . Long story short lianghubbb was one of them , he was always a weird guy. Smelt funny , looked very unhygenic like he never showered or washed his hair , and overall looked like he had issues . Anyway one day he came to a tournament , one of the players there Jimmy brought his sister a lot and his brother ,during jimmys matches while his sister was waiting by his side , somebody caught lianghubbb trying to take up skirt photos of jimmys sister , who must of been about 8 years old. A huge fight broke out and he got kicked out of the venue and was banned from all tournaments in Germany .
That’s why you don’t ever see him at tourneys and he’s mostly just uploading YouTube videos and staying online . A real nasty piece of work , just thought u guys should know .

That resets been around for a while, was figured out after about a week. You can do it after a target combo cancel in the corner as well.
Still, not a fan of resets, I’ll take my AA DP damage.
