Lots of people are doing delayed button presses on wakeup. To block a meaty and to mess w a shimmy.
With cammy I have a few things I do. It’s easy cuz of the startup on some of her moves.
With ryu, it seems u gotta manually time it.
Any help here? What are you all doing to beat this? You could throw but I’m thinking ch combo
c.LP and c.MP are both +2 can frame trap 3f buttons with s/c.MP
s.MP at +1 can frametrap a 4f with s/c.MP button and trade 3f with s.LK
s.MP CH can link into s.MK
s/c.MP can cancel into FB or Tatsu (whiffs crouch though)
I just usually c.MP + c.MP xx FB since it’s safe and I’m not able to single hit confirm and read stand vs crouch quick enough

Also after c.HK, m.Tatsu, or h.DP, you can dash + c.LP + throw to punish the delayed buttons

No I mean like, let’s say you score a knock down.
Instead of mashing jab on wakeup , they will do their jab outside of reversal timing. This will result in a blocked meaty or a jabbed shimmy.
I was wondering if there was some way to time a delayed attack either w frame data or some visual cue.

After throw, i sometimes dash in and do a st.hk, i get crush counter on people delaying tech most of the time, also beats backdash and that jump os, at worst you get a counter hit jab or throw, but at this point people never press anything after Ryu forward throw
DUDE. this is gold lol
Only issue is unless s.HK is active on the first frame of wakeup it whiffs crouch.

Sounds like you need to use Toolassisted’ OKI to design your delayed frametraps

What are the benefits to doing the stand strong parry Os?
Maybe I’m doing it wrong in training mode but it doesn’t seem like you can actually punish them. Maybe it’s just to stay in?
Edit: upon further exploration and patience with the limited t.m features I discovered that you need to use slower moves to punish v reversal.
On rog you can actually do solar plexus. Nice lol

What’s Ryu’s best poke? As in his footsies game? I’m starting to think his cr.MP is better than his cr.MK to play footsies, am I right?
Fireball then st.lk then cr.mp.
In that order.

Reaches far, quick , less likely to get crushed countered. Combos into fireball on counter hit, or EX moves if you buffer.

There seem to be an awkward input shortcut for Dp - f, qcf + punch (6236 + punch). So if i try to do a fireball while walking forward - dp comes out. Is there a workaround for this?
You have to hit either a neutral or back input in between the fwd and the qcf in order to only get fireball. I keep getting this prob as well and now try to make the qcf a half circle from back to be sure. Its always been this way.
What do you mean by neutral input - no directional input? I was afraid that workaround would be - to do a fireball from back. It’s a no pleasure for me on a pad. =(
