it depends on who has super meter/how much but i disagree their overall corner game is equal. ken’s overhead is “better” for linking into supers, and he’s more threatening for more than one mixup because of his higher damage potential off each individual attack.

It’s both, really. Not only does Ken’s SAIII have retarded startup, he also has more hit confirms. What overhead does Ryu have that scores him a super like Ken’s b+mk? And what target combo does he have that connects with a super?
I really question the usefullness of Ken’s b+mk. I mean Ken’s c.mp and s.mp links are really good and his chain is evil but b+mk can be parried on reaction due to it’s easy-to-recognize start-up. I know I can handle it most of the time especially on wake-up (so I’d figure most people shoud be able to) and you rarely see japanese players doing it in any circumstances, either.
As for Ryu’s corner game. Sadly, I don’t think it’s quite on par with Ken. Ken has more poke’s to confirms to make it dangerous to do pretty much anything against him in fear of shippu. Also, a poke confirmed to dragon punch x2 does ridiculous damage with no meter against anyone.
Having kara-throw is good but it doesn’t really quite make up for it. You just have to work harder with Ryu.
I don’t bother with Denjin when I’m fighting against SA2 Yang, SA3 Alex and sometimes Akuma. With Akuma players, any anti-air where you land first is a prime opportunity to take his life away since they’d need to do a one-frame landing teleport, but Yang and Alex aren’t practical enough to try using the denjin against because they don’t take to the air as much or they don’t “fall” the same. All it takes to make Akuma your bitch is to hit him with one random jumping attack or a FK when he’s jumping out of the corner to destroy him.

You could always wait for Alex to use some EX. A killer tactic would be to just wait for that player to select SA2, though. Yang has 2 bars with his SA2, I think.
ryu’s corner game is fucking buff, especially with the denjin. they get swept , thats a denjin set up. you hit a s.rh as theyre trying to jump out, thats a denjin. UOH links to close s.fp. any knockdown and theyre basically finished :encore:

make sure he doesn’t get you into the corner. watch out for snake fang, and the snake fang mixup’s they will throw at you. it is probably necro’s best bet to throwing you in the corner. if you do find urself in the corner, just block and wait for an opening while keeping an eye out for grabs and the flying viper(jump up double chop) and sometimes rising cobra(flips into an axe kick)
