There is tons of them. You couldn’t find one on you tube?
Was really bored and found out something dumb. CH Far s.HP, c.mk works. Also works for sweep. You can end the combo with super if you have really good hitconfirm skills and confidence in your links, since it’s a max range c.mk. Only works on crouching characters, only use I can think of is a frame trap + baiting crouch tech. I dunno if this has been discussed or not? Tested on Rufus and Blanka so far, what other characters should be tested?
Edit: EX Hado works too, very very very exact spacing needed though
Makes sense.
I did a one hitter counter-hit f+hp, c.hk in casuals once. Har.
Is there anything I should be doing to consistently link cr.lp to srk? I can get it once out of like ten times, and if I don’t short cut it I almost always get a doken or a super.
I think you have to build your muscle memory for this link. When I started playing around a year ago I tought that
link was near impossible. Its a 3 frames link so Its really possible to get close to 100% with practice.
Make sure you finish your motion in downforward to avoid Super and get a clean SRK. Exact motion is c.lp , forward, down, downforward, punch. As soon as you hit c.lp you have to start your motion. That why its usually easier to go c.lp xx c.lp xx srk since you have time to think about getting your stick to move.
If you want to build your speed a good exercice could be c.lp (cancelled) into SRK. When you can do it consistently you have to
slowdown your SRK to link it.
hey guys, its ryutheboss here. I know its been a while, but im back. Seeing as everyones probably accustomed to all the crazy new moves introduced in SSF4, i figured id throw up my old video, seeing as im sure a lot of you have forgotten the basics. Remember, that crazy new Ultra may look cool, but the almighty HODUKEN never fails when youre in a tight situation. See you out in the overpass bros.

^… who?
Sweet video bro. My game just improved 10 fold.
Old troll is old.
With Mago destroying all top Japan players in the world with his Feilong, maybe we are going to get rid of the other troll
Brucelee Kid for good.
^ Feli Long is sick in super. Seriously. Anyone who doesnt realise that is a moron. Nuff said. Seriously, I can pick-up Fei Long and win with just a couple of his normals. His pokes are sick, he has super tight defense, nice mix-ups. Any Fei Long who complains saying their character is weak needs to STFU and do the old fashioned thing… play the game and improve.
I have the ‘fei ling’ Fei long is really one of the strongest character in the game if not the best.
-Rekka pressure and easy confirm
-fair Dragon
-quick dash
-good FADC combo
-dammaging combos with no meter
-incredible range with rekka to punish
-couple of good pokes
-good FA
-good heath
etc
If they dont do something drastic with him in Arcade version I am picking it up.
Mago is an amazing player but you see him being really dominating when he has OP character
like Sagat in Vanilla. Fei long might be that kind of character.
I dont think hes overpowered Pieton, TBH. But he is also very very far from weak. He is a great character, but not on the level of Vanilla Gat.
i never got around to posting this since i never had much time to clean it up, but i thought i’d just share it since i don’t know if i’ll ever get around to it.
it’s simply an excel sheet with most system-related information on it. nothing specifically matchup related information such as option selects, general strategy, etc other than the matchup list, just pure numbers.
i know it’ll need to be updated once AE is released, but it shouldn’t change too much from here. maybe i’ll update it when i can.
hope it’s helpful to some of you
Thank you kind sir. I needed a decent format in order to print this stuff out to go along some drawn out graphics with ranges of all characters moves. Im creating a folder that basically has all the info I could ever need in it printed out. This is going to be a great halp. thank you.
One tip that might help you is, think of the srk as another light normal. So basically if you do, let’s say, crlp, crlp, srk, do it in a smooth rhythm like: 1…2…3, where 1 and 2 are two jabs, and three is the srk. If you use this method, don’t do it too fast (don’t input the jabs too fast) or the srk won’t work. IF you DO input the jabs too fast, just delay the srk, so it could be like: 1.2…3. Hope it helps.
dashing through guile’s U2
I don’t know if people already know this (chances are this was discovered even before ssf4 was released lol), but still since I didn’t know about it I guess I’ll just share it with you guys…so basically what I found out is, when you are like right next to guile and he does U2, you can just dash through it. Lol that’s it. I guess people already knew about it, it’s just when I did it I found it really amusing because I was focusing when he did the U2, and I just dashed through it and was surprised his ultra didn’t hit me. So yeah you have to be right next to him for it to work…Maybe people can find it a good use like…let’s say you knock him down, and then go for a focus right next to him (dunno why you’d even do that in the first place but w/e), if he tries to punish your focus with U2, you could just dash through it. I guess any character can do this, it’s just I was playing Ryu when I found this out lol. Okay I think I just wasted space in the thread and I’m about to get flamed o.o
^ no, you didnt waste space. I for one didnt know about that cause Ive never had a U2 VS an FA. Do you have to be FAing to do it?
Nope, Darth. The only thing you require is being right next to guile (like at throw range). Otherwise it won’t work. Maybe someone can find it a good use. The FA trick (when you untechable knockdown Guile, do a FA bait, then when he does ultra, you dash) is the only use I’ve found with it.
I’m getting pretty frustrated with focus attacks; particularly the ones activated right at the tip of low forward range. They absorb the hit then smack me when I’m either in recovery or canceling into a fireball. EX fireballs work when you can predict it, otherwise you’re just throwing away meter. Super is pretty good for countering this strategy, but you’re missing it much more often than you have it. Metsu Hadouken is okay, but after they eat it a few times, it’s slow enough to be baited. Anyone with any advice out there?
