The part about fireballs was a bit insightful when coupled with that video, but I think maybe I just need to work on what to do about that df.mk.
rufus dive kicks, you either dp them or jab then. and wantonx, ryu is probably the most dangerous character in the game when he has super, so its good to build mater very fast
I know it is good to build meter very fast I just don’t thinks he builds it too slowly or needs a buff to do it quicker. He is already dangerous enough imo. He is fine the way he is and is one of the only characters that could stay almost the same in SSF4 and still be a bad ass
^ wasn’t saying he needed was just letting people know what builds meter given certain situations.
corner combo:
cr. jp, cr. jp, cr. fk XX SRK - 223 damage tested on Ryu only been able to hit it once, has some weird ass timing to it. cr. lk, cr. jp does not work unfortunately. Was able to hit this in the middle of stage once and only once, trying to figure out how to get more consistent on it. perhaps one of the frame masters knows the trick.
anywhere (need to be close):
cr. lk, cr. jp, st. fk XX SRK – 223 --> has some funny timing, but once you get it you get it
cr. jp, cr.jp, st. fk XX SRK – 236 --> again timing is funny
cr. jp, cr. jp, cr. lk XX SRK – 188 --> funny ass link

cr. jp, cr. jp, cr. fk XX SRK --> needs to be super fast to hit outside corner, timing is very very tight. I can only do on 2up side.
i’m not quite sure with your terms, cr.fk? is this crouching medium kick?
and st fk, is this standing medium kick?
if it is correct then c.lk, c.lp, c.mk, srk will work on ryu that is for sure, you can even use crouching high punch to srk, and it will work on ryu and it can be done anywhere on the screen except when you are a bit far when you started the first hit.
from c.lp to c.mk is 1 frame link, better use c.hp which is 2 frame link and more damage too
and about the meter build up when you say whiff was it blocked or it was jumped over, cause it will give different meter build up whether it is blocked or didn’t touch the opponent
cr. fk = crouching medium kick
st. fk = standing medium kick
whiffed as in did not touch the opposing sprite, yeah those combos dont work chars like rog and so on.
edit: not sure if this has been mentioned but you can cr. fk xx ex FB, ultra on Rog, for some odd reason you can’t use cr. fp, cl. st. fp weird??

but what kind of combo mix ups are you looking for? just plain combos? or certain things that you particularly looking for?
Ive been doing forward and fierce punch to crouching fierce punch into dp or tatsu by plinking but, sometimes i get strong instead of fierce. Ive tried plenty of times to see what im doing wrong by speeding it up and slowing down but its the same results. If im not mistaken i plink by inputting fierce" and then" strong after the forward and fierce punch. Can anyone tell me about plinking and if there are somethings i maybe doing wrong?

If a fierce happen There is 2 option
first you are to slow passing from hp to fp
second you are not keeping the hp buton down while pressing the fp one
try to follow this two and you should not see fp anymore
yo ranix, i tried that delay wakeup against gief, it worked and my srk goes to the other side but it still lost to the flying body
I was just looking at the frame data and noticed that super is +11 on block and ultra is 1+10 startup. This means that srk xx super, ultra is a true block string, doesn’t it? It’s around 200 chip damage.
I’m not sure you can ultra while super is still going at it though. If the super is still onscreen, then you’ll probably just DP.

At this range, the super fireball is gone by the time you recover. Mashing it out in training mode the dp doesnt come out. Not mashing, I only got dp a couple times and I’m pretty sure it was my fault on the inputs.
Then you may be correct. still though, burning full super and an ultra unless for the ko is wasteful. Good find nonetheless
Hey friends, How do you delay wakeup?
Just timing, otter. I haven’t really got it down myself. But you apparently have a number of frames after you would technically just start getting up to input the command to do so. Entering it during that period would delay by just how much later you entered it.
I will admit that I haven’t personally verified that this actually works. Giving what I’ve read, I have no reason to doubt it. But it is what it is.
Edit: I really don’t know the details about this. So I removed comments about a 5 frame period. It may be 7. No clue.
what do you guys think about f.hp, c.hp+c.lp xx tatsu? i ask this because i find it hard to do the shoryu motion during the combo, a lot of the times a fireball will come out and even a super will come out when i try
