In japan, shibuya sportland game center. during the tougeki. I think It was the sunday afternoon, not sure. It was the day korean player was in sportland too, playing zanghief and akuma if i remember correctly.
about theory fighting based on youtube, just as I wrote comment saying that alioune is better than sagat us player come from US top player that played against him.
about my comment over you, I m not trashtalking like you suck or anything just that in this SF you are not owning like you use too in other sf.
and finally i m completly ok with you
ryu is good and completly beatable. nothing broke or O P.
This argument about 3s has been on SRK many, many times before. It’s been argued better than I ever could. I’m just gonna take the high road and say, okay, sure, parries help some characters out.
Lol calm down. No fighting game with character variety can ever be 100% balanced and 4 is already pretty well balanced (especially considering that its the first iteration of the new series) but why wouldn’t you want to take a look at some of the things that give characters larger advantages or weaknesses and tweak things to balance them out? Instead you seem oddly hellbent on accepting things as “good enough.”
Was is just me, or when you first began playing SF4, it felt ridiculously slow?
Maybe that’s because I picked Ken and no one else though…lol
I like it though, SF4 gave scrubs like me a chance to be good with all the shortcuts and easy inputs.
I do feel like somethings need to be more rewarded though (combos/links for ex.) but overall, I just want a slightly faster game, where I can be on the offensive more. I don’t care about who’s the best, who’s awesome, or none of that stuff, sometime I do silly stuff on purpose like do an Ultra after I land from a Tatsu! SF4 can be fun if you play to have fun, and not try to be the next Diago. Sagat has the most BS in the game, and yet I can still beat him If I try hard enough as Ken. Sagat is the extreme, but I really don’t have too much of a problem with any other character besides him, and Sagat is just damage really it’s bogus lol.
I never got into 3s cuz I was young, but parrying seemed very technical and it put me off. I didn’t have what it takes to learn that game. I heard that was one of the best Ken’s ever too, It makes me sad just thinking about it.
Completely off topic but my Boy TIba is awesome! He showed me the way of the c.mp
Actually yesterday french tournament was taken by a rose player( luffy)
and to be honest if you look for tournement result are quite interesting and changing.
even tougeki they were not even 1 sagat player une final and only one between 8 character in semi( and it was mago…)
and no ryu player in semi too( strange for an O P character…)
Yes i was one of them . we made may be 8 games or 10 and just as you said nobody had winstreak. that why I was saying you were not as dominant as you use in other sf games. and just as you said, people should stop complaining , and just play the game and practice.
some people should check Hyper sf match up, that should make them realise how balanced the game is.
Is he on PSN? cuz I fought an exceptional rose player on there named Luffy.
Same guy? I’m pretty sure we played about 3 times and he won 2 of em. His rose was retarded. He has his safe on block moves down well and I was just getting owned lol…
Dude, didn’t you see rose ball in any of the streams? Nobody cares about money matches when rose ball is on. If that’s not a storm, I don’t know what is.
pretty sure you don’t know what you’re talking about, the majority of that cast isn’t competitive whatsoever. Yun, chun, ken rinse repeat. That game isn’t balanced at all dude and parries just make it even worse. Parries are a flawed ass system, they are completely unnecessary. Fireballs, a trademark of sf, were useless in that game and even some characters could SA you after they got hit with the damn things, yeah man real balanced.
Dude, I was REFERRING TO SAGAT. Reading comprehension mother fucker. And lol @ scaled heavily, that shit ain’t scaled heavily for most of his ultra set ups, what are you smoking? Balrogs is scaled heavily.
Sorry, I was trying to think of characters off the top of my head and he completely skipped my mind. But I wouldn’t say Dhalsim’s is particularly harder to land, although it DOES need a damage buff. The move is incredible with teleport shenanigans, but 300 is, quite simply, LAME for a move that you generally have to eat at least 50% of your life bar in damage to even have the option of using.
What about Rufus’s ultra? It’s every bit as common to see Rufus land his ultra as it is to see Ryu’s landed.
I’m actually a huge fan of Ryu’s ultra, it’s one of the few things that gives his playstyle character, considering how rare projectile ultras are. I think it’s more important to give cool setups to other characters than to take away what makes Ryu interesting to fight against.
I’m sorry that you play against people that are so insecure they need to flock to the “best” characters, but I think this discussion should end here. This is the Ryu topic, and it’s somewhat my fault for taking the bait earlier. If you really need to continue, just PM me.
