yea, Guile gets good damage off stand fierce-flash kick, but no where near as easy to set up or pull off. Not to mention for just one bar, he can fdac into ultra on top relatively easy.

Ryu is a beast.
Fundamentals alone can get you at a decent level. I wouldn’t like a nerf. He is a solid character and pretty much well rounded in almost every aspect you can think of… looks like Capcom took some time with him 
People complain about his SRK…
I know it’s strong ( I rage about it in the privacy of my own home :shy: ) and even overwhelming at times but if he misses… what can’t you do to him ? lol If you get hit, it’s not Ryu’s fault

I think removing the ability to trade srk is nice considering it takes away another ultra opportunity that is clearly not needed. Either you beat it or you don’t.
Sweep recovery is trivial, but it is the highest in the game iirc.
I don’t think he needs a nerf…other characters just need more of a boost.
Thats one of the most scrubbiest things I have heard in awhile…
not sure if this thread is a joke or what but if its serious, then ryu doesn’t need any kind of buffing at all. SF4 Ryu is easily one of the best chars in this game. Ryu is already top-tier in this game, why buff him?
we should leave ryu the way he is…
he is number 3 in the tier list for a reason… this isnt the (hey lets make the charachters who are barely ahead of the curve super OP update). Its to tighten the ratio of how good the chars are relative to each other.
Im too sick of seeing lets buff this or nerf that and add these things to chars. play the game and enjoy your chars strengths and weaknesses for christ sake it doesnt take an 07 or 06 join date to just be happy with the char you like to play as.

Even though ur just joking… I love this idea! Evil Ryu for SSF4 is in keeping with the natural progression of the street fighter storyline. He has gotta turn to the dark side sometime
