Cry more. You have a fair fight. The character you like isn’t a good character. That’s not Ryu’s fault, nor is it the fault of people who like Ryu. It’s not impossible, nor is it prohibitively difficult for a Fei Long player to beat a Ryu one. The matchup isn’t even that lopsided. Try facing top tier with low tier in 3S, or MvC2, then say something. For a top tier, Ryu was nice to people in SFIV. He’s not even a hard matchup for most of the cast. He’s not Guile v. Bison, or Seth/Sagat v. Zangief with anybody.
Plus, Ryu’s been nerfed anyway.
Fei sucks. Take it up with Capcom, or in Fei threads, in which the majority of good players will probably tell you to stop whining and practice.
Just because you like a character that sucks doesn’t mean anybody else’s character should suck because of it. Go think of some buffs that would help Fei, and petition Capcom with those. As much as they won’t listen to you, that still serves more of a point than crying about it to a bunch of Ryu players who frankly don’t give a damn. I play Sakura as well as Ryu. Instead of bitching about how unfair some matches are for her, I just practice and get better until I can win regardless. Wanna see results? Follow that example.
If you lost to a Ryu player, that player beat you, not Ryu. Plain and simple. No Ryu matchup is an auto-win, by any stretch. Every character in this game can deal with Ryu. Even Dan, though it’s quite difficult. If you lost, you got outplayed. Hit the training stage.
You think character advantage is so vital? Next time you fight Ryu and lose with Fei, switch to Sagat. Tiger Shot > aduken.
And if it’s a decent Ryu player, you’ll still lose.

Fei is nowhere near as bad as other characters are, stop bitching. His rekkahs can punish alot of shit and he has great normals.
The only thing you derserve to complain about is how shitty CW is in this game. Its horrible, but it does allow you to combo afterwards, practice that shit. Its a great way to counter projectile spammers. Also, don’t use J.Wong’s Fei as an example of the best Fei ever, his Fei is decent, but I’ve seen much better. J.wong drops links like its no one’s buisness, while other Fei players hit them like clockwork.
Just practice more and bitch less and you’ll see that Fei is nowhere near as bad off as other characters are. He has a great chance of beating Ryu, though I will admit Ryu has the advantage. Its still a close matchup. I suggest you take a lesson from one of the Fei Long titles. Feel, Don’t Think. Know your opponent, see what he’s doing and find a way to counter it. Thats how you win.

u dont play fei so u dont know. the matchup is not that close. if the matchup is that close, u will c a similar number of fei players like ryu players online? honestly, how many fei have u fought online comparing with ryu players.
also, y do fei players have to practice more and put in more effort than ryu players just to win? thus, fei should get more respect than cheap ass aduken ryu.

i used to think like that when i first joined srk fourms,but after post after post of being humbled ive realized for the most part that “tiers” in SF4 arent as important as fundimentals and match up knoledge.in most cases you you will have to work hard for your wins regardless of character ranking.sometimes you have to think the problem is you and not your character match up.to be honest sf4 is probally the most balanced sf ever and thinking like this will only provide a crutch for your growth in skill

Wrong. Sagat Ryu Akuma Rufus Balrog. If you include Zangief, include all the high tiers too, with ends up being like half the roster.
