This thread needs to die cuz the majority here don’t even play Ryu.
Well it doesn’t help his case that many people (including Diago) will probably drop him in SSFIV.
What makes you say that
Many things, of course none of it is really backed by anything other than from speculation Ryu isn’t going to be near as solid as he used to be.
Speculation of Reversal DP not being great.
Speculation of Damage nerfs.
With Dudley, Ibuki, Juri looking to replace Ryu’s spot on the tier list. I would assume many Ryu players will drop out of frustration.
You dudes are yet again talking out of your ass, like these players won’t make adjustments
Doesn’t that include you? Like all the players would?
It’s obvious every character in this game is going to have massive amounts of players drop their mains for the new characters.
I have to disagree that Daigo will switch mains once again because i haven’t noticed one professional level player saying that ryu was really any different from vanilla SF4
BS ryu already has many ways to combo into his ultra in my opinion i think ryu should be nerfed the most so he becomes like dan. All shotos are trash there srk fadc ultra happy. Also his tatsu should be way slower
Insider trolls
AMATEUR players however have continuously been complaining about how they can’t play brainlessly for as great a reward, that’s probably where you fit in.
its true though ryu has plenty of ways to land his ultra and what do you mean by insider troll?
Did you not read the rest of your post
I’ve read many an interview stating they don’t think Juri will be top tier, but more like a solid mid tier.
If you seriously think Ryu is going to be massively shitty in SSFIV, you’re dead wrong. I doubt Sagat or Ryu will be as beastly, but they’ll still have the majority of their tricks. Losing trade Ultra is fair for everybody. As of right now, most tournaments degenerate into a game of ‘who has the better Ryu/Sagat’
As for the LK SK loop, it’s only powerful in the corner for 2-3 loops, and that’s with proper positioning, and if your opponent can’t cLP really fast (like Rog or Chun Li), or SRK/etc. THe only thing they’ve made possibly ‘easier’ is performing cLK x 3 then SK, rather than the fact most bisons opt for cLK once or twice, then a SK, then one or two more cLK and another SK, repeatedly. As of now, the timing (and fact it isn’t a blockstring) means that using more than one cLK is mighty risky for the Dic
Daigo isn’t going to learn a whole new character for a game that doesn’t even have a Japanese arcade scene are you kidding me.
Besides, he picks the best shoto, generally, and there’s no reason to believe that Ryu will not still be the best shoto or tied for the best.
The flowchart armada wont drop Ryu,Ken or Sagat they are much easier to play then Juri,Dudley or Ibuki!
I wouldn’t worry too much about Bison. I doubt his strings will be any more deadly then they already are. What they probably did was lower the execution bar a bit so it’s not such a tight link and probably made it so shotos can’t mash out of the string for free. Not a huge deal.
yeah, Dudley needs you to be on top of your mixups at all times and understand your timings and your footsies. This is way above what most scrubs can do. Forget about Juri and Ibuki, with such low health the execution bar is significantly higher and I doubt you’ll see the flowcharters pull of SJCs at will or even bother to learn how to do that.
last i checked, his cHP, sHK, and cMK will likely still be the same, and I doubt Daigo REALLY needed trade/ultra
